Quality Suspension set up for $500?

    1. Get some Bilsteins. My Tockico Illuminas did NOT ride with the same smoothness as the Bilsteings no matter what setting I put them on. 2. If you're looking for near stock ride quality without the Ford "C" spring harshness, go for the Ford "B" springs. I absolutely love mine. Here in...

How many of you have Bassani's and are satisfied?

Yes, I think they do have at least 2 variations of them. I could be wrong, however. I had mine circa 2002 so i'm not sure if bassani has made changes.

Few Q's: Mustang newcomer (sort of)

make sure the plastic latch down in the pedal is connected too. Mine didn't work because I accidently kicked it loose.

don't go cheap. Pay for Bassani and you'll never look for another exhaust unless you get tired of the rumble. :) I love mine.

    Shocks, Struts and Spring install

well, I already had the caster camber plates on the car when I made the update so I didn't move anything. I guess just make sure to adjust your camber by eyeballing the wheels as straight and perpendicular to the ground as you can.

    LF comments - Springs/shocks/struts

I had Tokico Illuminas for about 6 years and I can tell you that my Bilsteins are worth the extra money. If your ride comfort is important there is no comparison.

    Radiator fan almost caught fire!!!!

that happened to my 97GT about 2 years ago. At the time I had to get the fan assembly from Ford. Nobody sold the fan motor by itself. This may have all changed but yes, it was very expensive at the dealership. I paid upwards of $400. **cough**rape

Anyone have a Bullit Suspension Kit on a Convertible??

You should look at the Ford "B" springs. I just installed them and love 'em! They drop the car as much as my old "C"springs but are much more comfortable.

    Suspension Drop I Searched!

I'm in the same situation right now. I've had my Ford C springs for about 6 years now and i'm sick of 'em. If your local streets are smooth than they are fine. If not, Go with something else. I'm going to try the Ford B springs which have the stock smoothness with a 1.2 drop in the front and...

http://www.rislone.com/engine.htm I use the Engine treatment that goes in the oil. Before I used this stuff, I had to use at least 89 to keep the car from pinging. I just picked this stuff up at walmart for $2.79. After using just a little bit of this stuff (less than half a bottle) and...

What tires do you use, and why?

I love my Nitto 555's compared to my old Kumho 712's. The 555's are excellent all the way around tire for my needs. Excellent in rain, and perfect for me in dry. BTW, they are the stock 245 45 17s. good luck!

what mpg does a 96-98 4.6 GT get?

I got over 350 miles on a tank 2 weeks ago with head wind and with only me on board. I did keep cruise control on most of the trip, however.

    Saving gas tips?

I just came back from my spring break vacation. Staying 65 on Cruise control netted me 350miles plus on a tank of gas. Not too bad for a thirsty V8.

I've had the Quiet Thunder set-up for about 2 years and love the sound. I'm very happy with it and don't plan on changing it out anytime soon. :)

Aggghhhh! Scary sound coming from car, clip inside - help?

this may sound crazy but it sounds like my mustang last year when I thought my engine "bought it". My mechanic said it was my driver side cat. I changed fuel brands and it went away  I know, I know..i'm just telling you what fixed mine when it sounded like that :) good luck
