    2012 v6 does not crank/start sometimes

Yeah, sounds like the clutch solenoid. My car's the same. I have to just remember not to be lazy with the clutch and push it all the way in. Think of it as an anti-theft device:) You can take it in, but with my experience the dealer will tell you it's operating properly.

    Got My New Wing Today

Yeah, GT500 spoiler only works as a replacement for the standard GT spoiler, as they're the only ones with the same mounting points. It's the same basic spoiler just a bigger version. If you really want to do it you could always get a new trunk lid, but that starts to get expensive. (BTW call...

    Upgraded brakes?

I would get a set of slotted rotors (not drilled) of some sort and probably Hawk HPS pads, unless your going to auto-x or road coarse the car then you need something better. I just read a comparison of HPS, and Yellowstuffs, (I think there was another as well, but can't remember what it was)...

    Airaid insert in or out?

From what I know about them the insert is for when/if you don't have a tune. You can take it out w/ a tune and supposedly get better power, so I find it a little hard to believe better times with it in. It seems like any restriction in the intake system would definitely hurt high rpm power.

    RTR front splitter installed pics

High speed stability is not really needed for autocross, but it's an interesting combo. I like just the CDC chin spoiler better myself.

Looking to add a bit more hp....

Hate to be technical, but they're calipers and rotors on a disc brake setup, not shoes as would be on a drum setup.

Why is the under body of new Mustangs all rusted?

The rear axle and the stock exhaust manifolds both are made of iron, and will rust as a protective barrier. It has nothing to do with the poor coating from the factory. All (of the newer Mustangs at least) are like this. If you don't like it, have your axle powdercoated.

    Rear axle purge valve leak

I have a 2010, but same issue and was told the same as you basically. No big deal it just needs a little hard driving to get to the proper level (leak). I was told it should slow to a stop over the next couple thousand miles, but to keep an eye on it and if it didn't to bring it back in. I...

    2012 GT to the track!!!!!

Get some lower control arms to help with the wheel hop. That should be a decent start in reducing it.

    CAI Question

Chris Rose @ Bama tunes indicated that the 2010s, due to the intake differences the OP stated, gained much less (under 5hp) by changing the intake. He suggested just a tune, and pay for UPs, or something similar with the saved $.

    Shorty headers

I didn't say they flowed better, or added more top end hp. But, since I've read in magazines as well that the LTs actually lose a little hp and torque @ low rpms due to lack of back pressure, it's probably not accurate either. I'm sure the magazines were paid to provide that info too. Hence...

    Oil life is short?!

Yeah, they definitely reset it @ 3000 miles. I had them show me how. The oil life was @ 0% at the time, and yeah I think it was exactly 6 months since I had it changed the first time. I think the 6 month time thing is what's setting it off, and not the miles. I'm assuming they reset it when...

    Newbie Exhaust question

I bet that combo would work. I also hear the Corsa exhaust has no drone, but is very expensive. Definitely keep the H-pipe for the old school sound. Another option could be to find a Bullit exhaust, or copy one. They had a resticted H-pipe (imagine a washer welded in the middle) to help copy...

    Shorty headers

Ok, I'll go out a limb and disagree here. No, the short tubes don't add peak hp. What they do, from all the articles I've read about them in S197s, is move the power curve into the lower rpm range. Basically you'll gain mid-range hp from shorties and top end hp from LTs on the S197. Which is...

Crap talking from an STI owner

Well, I happen to love both of these cars. (Just ducked to avoid all the crap thrown at me). I actually am trying to convince the wife to go with a WRX next time she needs a car. But, I agree you should beat him. However, those things can get ridiculously fast very easily and can launch like...

    Oil life is short?!

Ok, changed my oil yesterday with the car showing 0% oil life and reminding me every time I started it. I had only driven 2000 miles since last changed pretty much babying it, but figured I should change it. The oil appeared to have about 50% life left at least based on color and texture when...

    Oil life is short?!

Mine's back down to 1% after only 2000 miles in the last 6 months since my first oil change at the dealer. I think it's a screwed up system. I'll be changing mine with full synthetic once a year (about 5000 miles).

    2010 V6 Wheels?

SOMEONE LOCK THIS THREAD QUICKLY! THIS HAS BECOME A RIDICULOUS BACK AND FORTH NOT SERVING ANY PURPOSE, OR HELPFUL TOWARD ANYONE. THE OP GOT HIS ANSWER, AND MADE HIS DECISION MANY DAYS AGO. STOP THE INSANITY!

    Splice in X-Pipe???

From what I understand, Yes. An x-pipe usually causes a slightly higher, raspier note than the h-pipe, and can lessen drone in some cases. If you don't care about cutting into your stock pipe, then this is the way to go. Plus, you should gain a couple hp from the improved flow. There's a...

    2010 V6 Wheels?

Looks nice! Just worked with a guy with a 2011 V6 just like it. Now just needs lowered a bit. The bigger the wheel the weirder that wheel gap looks. I'm planning on lowering the rear of mine and inch to even out the front and rear.
