How To Install Lower Torque Box Reinforcements.***PICS***

I think this post has excellent pictures and directions. Well done!

302 RWHP and 322 ftlbs of torque :-)

I built a 331 combo with pathetic heads and stocker efi intake. It made over 350 rwtq.

302 RWHP and 322 ftlbs of torque :-)

I have a clog in the drain combo and the OP's torque is way low for any stoker. I am assuming it is a stick shift car and not a C-4.

    tmoss lower has arrived

It is an easy topic to search here and other sites that will yield plenty of results. I'm sure someone has done the exact mods and probably has dyno or track times.

    tmoss lower has arrived

For me and my car I would not change a thing. It is a mild combo that I run with some iron GT40 heads and a cam. I wanted stock appearing, but more than power than stock.

    tmoss lower has arrived

I run one of Tom's intakes on my stock-ish coupe. It is a fun car to drive.

How do your guys' doors open?

If the car has new weatherstripping you may need to stretch it out some. Fresh rubber needs to be tweaked a little.

How do your guys' doors open?

Take a look at the weatherstripping... is it new? The last few sets I have changed seem to be thicker than what Ford used.

    first 347 install

Just my opinion... you should join the SBF building site as you are buying a kit. That said the pistons will dictate what heads can be used in the future. Look into pistons that can be used for both inline and TW heads. You never know what deals one may find on heads in the future. You need to...

Value of Modded stang vs Stock

Interesting thread and topic. I think the total combination of parts and the car is important. Stock fox mustangs are cool, but they are really slow. Fast and hacked is... well just that. Rarely do you see a well sorted close to stock combo that can run a number w/o a charger or spray.

What are you excited about for your fox?

I am excited to get my Team-Z rear suspension parts on my stock and ported a/c delete car and get some track times soon.

    Clutch install

The rear main seal is super easy to put in. The hard part is getting to it. He is already going to be there with the clutch, flywheel, and pilot bearing/bushing. A firewall adjuster, new cable and an aluminum quadrant is always a good idea. NAPA sells a nice cable , btw.

    88' Rear End Build (solid)

Don't forget C-clip eliminators or 9" style ends. I have an 8.8 Detroit Locker waiting at my shop and I do not think I can use the regular c-clips with it.

302 Rebuild Vs. Buying a new engine

A perfect time to build a stroker. Look into a DIY stroker kit already machined.

    Opinion on painting dash

For my last interior project I bought a little kids plastic pool. I washed and scrubbed all the pieces with TSP and used the pool as a wash tub. The pre-mix vinyl interior paint works great when sprayed with a touch up gun. Don't forget to prep and use adhesion promoter before you spray. Be...

Weight Guess, And 1/4 Goal With Turbo

With the AOD I would not run any gear lower than a 3.55 I bet you pick up considerably with just a gear swap. How many mph did it gain between the 1/8th and 1/4? If you are running a Lentech converter, maybe they can re-stall it?

Engine Top End Tune Up - Need Advice

His DSS short block may have pistons for inline head valves only. OP needs a solid 11 second combo to keep up on a mild bolt-on coyote. I think he is just a cam swap away.

    Best Alternator EVER!

I feel your pain with the alternator. I don't run a big stereo but do have a bunch of draw. I have lots of under hood heat to deal with and have been thinking about adding an extra rectifier in a remote location.
