Hey guys, I have a 99 GT with a V2 E-trim that is idling erratically. The A/F is very rich until I begin to raise RPM's, then it leans out and bogs down. After the quick bog down it clears up and A/F is fine, but only seems to clear up over 2000 rpm. I can't even get steady datalogs because...

Just got my tuning software in yesterday, and I'm wondering exactly how it works. Do I just datalog, then plug the information off the excel spread into the grids on the software, or is there a formula I need to follow?

I had the same problem, and it turned out to be the Fidanza 2.1 clutch. It was a waste of money, and they don't stand behind their product.

Yup I bought a laptop just for tuning. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions when that time comes, but Justin's tune should give me a good starting point. I can't wait to put down some power.

I ordered a base tune from VMP to get me to the dyno, but I haven't received it yet. I do have the SCT tuner with livelink, so I can datalog. I'm also waiting on the SCT PRP I ordered to fine tune the car. I'm in the UK so there are no SCT tuners, but I have dyno shop that says they can do it...

I cannot find a vacuum leak. When I disco the MAf the car stop surging and idles fine, but bogs down when I throttle it. As soon as I hook the MAF back up it begins surging again. Could this be a tune issue?

It is a suck through MAF with anderson power pipe, straight discharge with the bosch by-pass valve.

I just installed my Vortech S/C today. After the base tune it is surging at idle. Can I adjust the MAF to solve this problem, or do you think it could be something else? It is a 99 GT with a lightning MAF.

Yeah I've already installed a wideband for the SC. I talked to Justin at VMP tuning, and he said he can get me a pretty close tune, then I can tweak it on the dyno with the SCT pro racer software.

I'm stationed in the UK, and I want to install a supercharger that I have purchased, but I'm running into a tuning issue. No one here seems to have the software to be able to tune it without a standalone ECU. The price of that is around $3000, so I figured it would be cheaper if I buy my own...

I have a 99, and when mine was doing that the rear holder for the window came unglued. I pulled the door panel and re-glued the holder to the window. It has been over a year and I still haven't had anymore problems from it.
