i have the same problem my lifters and rockers checked out ok, is it a manual or auto tranny? mine is a manual i tapped the clutch pedal and it went away. havnt had time to check my throw out and fork but figured out where it coming from by doing that

for your issue w the gas mileage check your intake tubing and around the iat (intake air temp) sensor i had a loose sensor and BURNED through gas till i fixed it so from my expierience leaks in the intake air tubing can cause you to burn through gas

i wouldnt totally agree i have a 99 v6 i put headers on it knocked out my cats and cut out the stock muffler welded 2.5" pipe and an aftermarket muffler i get compliments all the time and mine is loud as hell!!

my tranny took a crap in my 99 v6 so i picked up one out of a 94 threw it in. now my car redlines at 4 in 1st gear only?? also the spedometer doesnt work b cause of the different sensor on the tailshaft. would i have to change the entire tailshaft or can i find another way around this? thnx
