    Painted, finally!

I agree, the car looks great and I also love stripes below the doors. With the cowl closed in does it affect the heater in any way? Did you have to cut out all the vents in the cowl and weld in a piece of metal? I need to do something with my 65 and not sure how I want to go.

    Toploader 4-Speed

Should this speedo gear already be in the transmission? Do I just ask for a 4-speed toploader speedo gear? Where does this go? I know nothing about the 4-speeds except how to shift them. :-) Sorry for all the questions and I really appreciate the help. John

Taking my heads to machine shop and have a question

Thanks, I knew I needed some new valve seats because where the bent push rod was, the plug had oil on it. The Mustang has the matching# 289 motor but some PO installed 302 heads on the engine at one time for unknown reason. So I will tell the machine shop to install hardened seats. Thanks again

I had a 66 Fastback GT just like that that I bought in 67 with only 18K miles on it and kept it for about three years till I got married and start having kids. Man, got rid of that beauty for a station wagon. It was bright red with black bucket seats, four speed manual, air, power brakes...

Where does the emer flasher go on a 65?

So the cardboard will hold it in? Does it need some kind of brace to keep it from ripping out?

Where does the emer flasher go on a 65?

I bought a good used 66 emer flasher w/wireing to put on my 65 and was wondering if anyone has done this. Does it still go in the glove box or under the dash? Would it hook up the same as the 66? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    302 heads on a 289

I pulled the lifter under the bent rod and it came out very easy so it was not stuck. Someone told me that the PO might have over reved it. I know I did not. I respect the old girl. These Mustangs are really fun to drive. Mine is a three speed manual on the floor. I am a big guy (I do not mean...
