I had takin it apart to replace the head gaskets, and while i was at it I ported and cleaned up the heads , put a new performer intake and changed my stock 2brl to a holly street avenger. It ran OK before , but felt like it had a vacuum leak or somthin. found the intake gasket was pretty bad...

I just bought a new Holly street avenger Carb and performer intake for under 300 bucks from autozone.com. Not trying to promote anything just letting you guys know what I found, if it helps I haven't installed yet but I am going from a stock 2 brl. I think they cost me $260 after the gift cards...

Thanks for the info about the exhaust ports. I have my heads off right now and will see what i can do before i put them back. I just have the stock bottom end and about to put on a new intake and holly 4 brl. and have some long tube headers

Doin some mods now... just put some bfg radial TAs on it and putting on performer intake and 670 street avenger carb right now. Oh and I just got an 8.8 rear with the 3.73 and disk brakes that i need to get on. Almost done with the interior, cause i drive it quite a bit and it was in bad shape...

Just drove it to work today, and I think i'm going to retire her for the winter and start tearing it apart for the new intake and carb I have sitting at home! And also do some bodywork. Maybe I will bring her out when it's not 15 deg. outside.

Just new to this site, It's been about 5 years since i had my last stang, but just picked up a new one a couple months ago... 1969 model so i'm getting back into it.
