    Thanks for the help. Yes i am going to try and rethread, if not i am going to cut the shft where the threads are and weld on a new piece. Not the best alternative but it wont cost me anything but time.:D

    Disconnect the regulator and get a 1 wire GM. Easier and cheaper in the long run.

    well i put it back in place and made measurements again. I think it will look ok, i am probably going to have to play with the angle a bit to make it look right. I will post pics when i make the cuts.

    Well i wouldnt say my car is a restomod, but might be leaning that way one day. But my thoughts are this, i do not like the gap between the rear bumper and the body. i want to move it in 1/2 inch and up 1/2 inch. I think it will look better close to the body. my plan is cut the bumper bracket...
