2000 Gt Right Bank Not Working?

I pulled the engine apart and it's definitely NOT GOOD. 4 "rockers" laying loose on the head??? 4 bent intake valves in the permanently open position. 4 pistons that look like someone gave em a whack with a cold chisel ;8-( Timing chain guide ground up between the crank gear/sprocket and the...

2000 Gt Right Bank Not Working?

Thanks I've got 0300 Generic misfire code and a 0304 Misfire on #4 code. I checked the coil with an ohm meter and it seemed to be bad compared to the others in readings. So I replaced it and no change...... Took 2 plugs out, they look fine, no wet, no black, no oil.

2000 Gt Right Bank Not Working?

My wife's 2000 GT (5 speed) appears to be running on only one side. She was on her way to work yesterday morning. She went to take off from a traffic light and the car made a noise, bang, whatever sound, then stalled. She managed to restart it (a few times) and get it off the road. Had it towed...

    Nitrous setup suggestions

Rule of thumb for timing retard is 2 degree per 50 HP, so that would mean a 5 deg. retard for your car to start with. Better safe than sorry I always say. You can always bump it up (slowly) later, 1 degree at a time. Keep a close eye on your spark plugs. If the electrodes start turning blue...

    5.0 Swap 92 Notch 2.3

Also t-birds are NON-HO motors (non-roller cam, cast pistons, etc.), more power available, better cam selections with the HO. You can buy a roller cam and lifters that will work in a non-HO block, but once again it's more expensive. The money you save on buying the motor initially is more than...

    5.0 Swap 92 Notch 2.3

Keep in mind if you go the Exploder route, keep in mind they wear a different cylinder head than the Mustang. The GT-40P head is standard issue on them all and requires you to buy a GT-40P header. Sparkplugs are at a weird angle, this limits your choices of headers and because they are limited...
