    Fuel pressure on Turbo Coupe?

It feels really nice between 2500 and 4500. After 4500rpm, it keeps excelleratiing, it just doesn't pull very hard. It seems that if I go ahead and shift and get the Rs back down in the 3000 range it pulls again up to 4500ish. It just doesn't seem right. I did set the fuel pressure as...

    Fuel pressure on Turbo Coupe?

Okay. Thanks. Yes, I have an adjustable regulator and gauge. I will set it and see what she does. When it falls off it just feels lazy like it quits excellerating. Mid range it nice and strong. (Between 2500and 4500rpm.) After that it ain't got much. I thought it should have more up high.

    Fuel pressure on Turbo Coupe?

I'm a carb guy. I haven't messed with much injected stuff. I have a stock '87 Turbo coupe as a daily driver. I was wandering what the fuel pressure should be. Do you set it with vacuum connected or disconnected? What kind of fuel pressure should I have under boost? I wouldn't mind hopping...

    2.3 transmission

The A4LD bell housing will not work with a C4. You have to have a C4 bell specificly for a 2.3L. They are hard to find and costly but a good option if you don't need overdrive.

    TCI C4 worth it???

C4 is a great trans if you are drag racing. I don't care for TCI stuff. I build my own also. Running mid 10s with no problems. If you are going to buy a C4 go with Dynamic, PA, or JPT. These companies specialize in C4s. Never delt with JW, but I think they have a decent reputation. TCI and...

Guys help me out...is this the 157 tooth or 164 tooth flexplate? can you tell?

That is a big bell for a 164 tooth flex plate. The top of the bell is smooth. The small bell for the 157 tooth flex plate has ribs going all of the way down the back of the bell.

    11:1+ Compression on Pump gas?

OBD-II is mandated by the EPA since 1996. It is intended to track inputs and control the engine tune. It then alerts the driver when there is a problem so you don't keep driving while spewing emissions.

    11:1+ Compression on Pump gas?

My 408C is 11:1 and I run it on pump gas with iron heads. The tune up is a bit soft just for safety sake, but it runs good.

Is this combo to much for an AOD?

Don't down grade your power potetial to match the trans. Upgrade the trans to match the power. The AOD can be modded to handle a lot of power, but it's not cheap. Call Lentech or PA for the low down.

Stall converter advice on C4 ??

I personally like reverse manual valve bodies. An automatic valve body shifts at cruse speeds with a vacuum modulator. You don't have any vacuum with a blower. Automatic shifts can be done, but it is very easy when you go with a manual valve body. A reverse manual valve body can give you much...

Stall converter advice on C4 ??

It is anmost a sin to say Neal Chance and B&M in the same sentence. Not even close to the same quality. Neal Chance is a top notch and VERY expensive converter. B&M is Junk. They sell cheap built generic converters. In my opinion there shift kits aren't much better. One thing B&M is good at is...

Stall converter advice on C4 ??

Stall converter advice on C4 ??

Edge converters are good as well as Coan. I personally use JPT. Can't go wrong with any of them. Tell your friend he needs a shift kit in that stock C4. It won't survive long if run stock. Shift kits are cheap and easy and will let it shift harder to help the clutches live. It will go a long...

how fast can i spin my balanced shortblock??

I wouldn't be afraid to go to 7000rpm with that short block, but with the small cam, I don't think you'll need much more than 6000rpm.

is 26x10 ET Drag too much tire for my combo?

Your RPM will go up by about 200 RPM with the shorter tires. They shouldn't be too wide for your setup. You have plenty of rear gear to get them going. You are right. You can adjust the traction with more air pressure if need be.

    Stall Converter Brands?

To get a converter that is right for you, you really need to call a converter company. You have gotten some good names here. Don't just call one. Call a few of them to get an idea of the one you can feel comfortable with. They can get you the right stall speed for your car. Don't just buy a...

    custom cam

No doubt, a custom cam can perform better than an off the shelf cam as long as it is made for your specific combo. However, if you are looking for 12s, it's not hard at all to do that with an off the shelf cam. It would be a lot cheaper. Custom grinds have the cool factor when you are bench...

    solid 2 hydrolic questions????

I also say keep it solid. Nothing wrong with driving solids on the street. Don't be afraid. You should get a lot of good miles out of it if you spring pressure isn't crazy. If you have a situation where you HAVE to adjust the rockers all of the time, there is something wrong. Ford even put...

    Torque covertor?? help or hurt...

Yes, absolutely, the converter, shift kit and gears will help your stock engine. Your ETs will get better. Will you be able to keep up with a stick car? Maybe. Maybe not. I really think you would need more stall than that, but I could be wrong.
