replacing door hinges - 1994 cobra - getting to upper hinge, or replace just the pin?

I need some help - I have the new hinges, but can't see how to get the inside nut on the upper hinge. I have removed the side panel by the drivers door and getting to the lower hinge should not be an issue (albeit there is a couple of electrical connectors that need to be moved out of the way)...

    P0176 and P0177 - '94 cobra

yes - long tubes are installed. I know 94's don't have mil eliminators, but would this help get rid of the codes? I presume so (used on other cars), but no experience on 'stangs. When those codes are present (car seemed to run better today), car runs bad - hesitation, etc.. Might be worth...

    P0176 and P0177 - '94 cobra

long tube headers, sct 4-bank, but did not have them delete cat codes (car has cats)....the codes say the car is running rich and lean (I think) - weird, if so. I have mil eliminators and did a search - this code does not seem to be common - though the new web site and search capabilities I'm...

wheel hop. differential chatter, maybe clutch chatter?

hmmm.... 1) happened before/after fluid change 2) clutch packs changed as well I wonder if one side bearing is going out? I don't know enough about axles, but is it important for the diff to be perfectly perpendicular to the chassis - i.e. if one side was an inch closer to the front, would...

wheel hop. differential chatter, maybe clutch chatter?

differential-related, imo what fluid you using in the diff? did you add any friction modifier? Based on symptoms, it sure seems like the diff is winding up, then releasing the axle (thus the wheel hop you're seeing) any other modifications to the diff?

    Lacking power and misfiring

this type of issue seems common - my fix - Coil! bad miss starting at about 3500-4K - turned out to be the MSD coil. Stock replacement and car runs fine now.

Misses around 4,000 rpm when WOT and bogs down/stops pulling

one suggestion... been through a very similar experience - turned out to be the MSD coil. Replaced with a stocker from Oreilly (the "better" one) and all problems solved! note that prior to replacing coil, we replaced: dizzy (bought a new Mallory) TFI plugs wires ...only thing...

    94 cobra - differential cover/girdle clearance

got a 94 cobra, lowered about 2 inches and considering getting a diff cover that will preload the diff bearings - looking at LPW (preferred), as well as FRPP and Drake. my main concern is clearance - looking at the spacing between stock cover and the area that the spare sits in, I'm not sure if...

    94 cobra...water pump studs???

cool! So, I'll be the only "stud" needed, then, eh?:rlaugh:

    94 cobra...water pump studs???

Need to replace water pump - diligently search for all the stuff I need: 1) buy water pump bolt set and timing cover bolt set from totallystainless - they were backlogged on the stud kit, so I buy the stud kit from Autozone - cheap - kit #23744 (Dorman). 2) I try to find pics of the...

    95 GT missing?

temp related..TFI, PIP...though also coil (was in my case) went through something very similar - bad miss, then finally a no start. turned out to be the @$#$%^ MSD coil - replaced with $26 coil from Oreilly and cranked right up. Testing PIP - need NOID light - if the injectors are...

94 cobra - cracked pedestal on crane roller rocker arms - this common?

pedestals are steel - that's why it was surprising I did not check all of the pedestals - the one on #2 was cracked down to the base on both sides of intake and one side of exhaust, so that is the one that had me really concerned. so, since I replaced head gaskets (with same type that came...

94 cobra - cracked pedestal on crane roller rocker arms - this common?

replaced head gaskets (had to remove one head to get broken bolt from lower intake manifold, so did both heads). When removing the rocker arms, I noticed on of the pedestals had some fairly significant cracks. I then checked the one next to it and some cracks, but not nearly as large/long...

aftermarket wheels from '94 cobra - will they fit 2010?

offset on fronts are 20mm - 9.5" backs are 24mm - 10.5" wheels are ADR M-classics - looked great on the '94, but not sure if the offset will work on a 2010 - buddy wants to buy'em - will they fit??

    cylinder head removal/install questions...rocker arms

problem was self-induced I tried easy-outs and also my son got some small drill bits...in this case, they were cobalt and I broke 2 bits in the hole . I can't find anything that's harder and can remove cobalt bits, so I'm hosed. I understand that edm can be used to get the bolt and bits out -...

    cylinder head removal/install questions...rocker arms

1994 cobra - removing cylinder head to get one @%$#%$^ bolt that is rusted in the head (front bolt, drivers side - rusted in and broke off cobalt bit in the hole, so head come off to get that bolt hole taken care of). Never been inside a 302, so I have some basic questions: 1) do I need to...

98 cobra wheels - painted or powdercoated from factory?

what's the stock silver color on 98 cobra wheels? I presume it's paint and not powder, but wanted to ask.....getting wheels powdercoated this coming week and they asked what finish was on the wheels now (if it's powder, it has to be chemically stripped, so adds cost...) Thanks! TomC3

    94 cobra - replacing door hinges how-to...yes, I searched

entire hinge I bought from LRS and they had hinge pin kits for all years but the '94/95 (bastard stepchildren of the 'stangs:D), so bought the entire hinges. I have a neat trans jack that will work perfectly to support the door (I can build a wood frame to attach to the jack, so that's not a...

    94 cobra - replacing door hinges how-to...yes, I searched

I did the requisite searches, but could not find much on how to do this. Info is confusing - I plan on replacing both upper/lower do to "droopy doors"(vs drawers::rolleyes:) This is a '94 cobra. I'm reasonably mechanically inclined. 1) do I need to remove the fender? If so, how easy is...
