19" Tire reviews - Need some advice!

Hey all, been a while since I posted, I know. As most of us '11 and '12 owners have realized, the Pirelli P-Zero tires that come on the 19" wheels don't last long. I got 15k on mine now and I can tell I got maybe 5k more before I don't have a choice but to change em. So, what I need to know...

    Aftermarket shifters for 6-speed

I looked at the Barton, it seems ok, not sure if I want that short of a shift. I'm looking hard at the bracket though, I like it way more than the stock bracket.

    Aftermarket shifters for 6-speed

Any thoughts on aftermarket shifters for the 2011/12 6-speed manual? I'm looking at buying one soon, I've always been a fan of Hurst, but there are others of course, like Steeda and Barton. Anyone got suggestions or thoughts? How's yours working for you? Thanks!

Higher octane gas on Coyote 5.0

Anybody know if you get any performance benefit from running higher than 93 octane gas on the new Coyote 5.0s? I know there's a benefit between running 87 and 91/93, but if I top off with 1/4 tank of 105, would it be worth it? Just curious, going to the track tonight for test/tune.

    Turtle Wax Black Box Kit

I used the black box on my 2012 GT also, and it does a fantastic job. However, it takes a long time and alot of effort to apply, and you can't do it outside in the sun or the prewax and wax are difficult to rub off. For show quality I use the black box, but for a regular wash/wax job, I use a...

    FRPP Power Pack

I'm kinda wondering on the details of these power packs myself (cost/performance). I've got an exhaust already, but I can put their system in and sell the borla setup if it's worth it. Plus, coming from them and being installed by them, performance tune and everything, it won't void your...

    2012 Mustang chassis numbers

Yes on the springs and bars, I dunno about shocks and struts. Also, and I could be worng, but I don't think you get the Sport setting on the traction control on a base GT, just on/off. Ford says that the suspension tuning is different for the package too. One more thing, the subframe...

I just bought a 2012 mustang GT premium

@fgrdods Here's a post I made that has the numbers on the chassis differences, from base GT, brake package, and the two Boss mustangs. Hope this helps! http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/843795-2012-mustang-chassis-numbers.html#post8488528

    2012 Mustang chassis numbers

Ok, here's some info I picked out from 5.0 magazine out of an article on the new boss. This thread is fueled by another thread, but I fingered it deserved it's own home. These are the differences in chassis between the GT and the Boss. Spring rates are in Newtons per millimeter; Sway-bar...

    2012 GT steering pull issue

Thanks Natasha, I was gonna just mention it when I bring it in for my first oil change. In all honesty though, I shouldn't have to change the steering setting to correct a problem, especially since I run on normal....um... normally. And it hasn't caused any real problems yet, it's just...

Thinking about a tuner for my 11 GT

By law they still have to be able to prove that what you did had a detrimental effect on what failed. i.e. if your transmission goes out, and they say your powertrain warranty is void due to a CAI and Cat-Back, then they're wrong. However, if your piston blows out and you have a tune, then...

I just bought a 2012 mustang GT premium

Ha, ya beat me to it. I had read in a 5.0 magazine article on the Boss about it. It compared the base, premium, boss and Laguna Seca suspensions, and it only got better from base on up. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but after testdriving one and another, I could definitely feel the...

    2012 GT steering pull issue

Since I bought the car. It does it intermittently, on either side. Sometimes it pulls left, other times to the right. It's not a hard pull, but if I let go of the wheel, it'll go to the side it's wanting to go to. I'm going to mention it when I bring it in for the first oil change, but I was...

    2012 GT steering pull issue

I wonder if anyone else has noticed this, or if it's just me. Every once in a while, after braking, it seems that the car pulls one way or the other for a little bit. it goes away, but it's annoying nonetheless. Mine has the brembo brake package.

    Mustang backseat

All depends on the people in the front seat. I'm 6'3", nobody can sit behind me. There's aboot 2" between the back of my seat and the front of the back seat. On the other hand, if you yourself were 5"4", I could prolly sit behind you (...legroom wise. My neck would have to be broken though ;) ).

    Alternative shifter knob

I ran into the same problem with my knob, I have to park in the sun every day. I point my middle right A/C vent down on the knob, it helps alot. Oh, and for the record, I see the shift pattern burn mark on my palm as a source of pride. :D

Staggered Black GT Premium Wheels and Tire Kit

Most likely no issues, but to be sure just call american muscle. Their customer service is pretty good, so it's worth a shot imo. And if you got stock 18" wheels, I can venture to guess you're not getting the brembo brakes, so you shouldn't have to worry aboot caliper clearance issues. (the...

    New 3" 5.0L Side Exhaust!

In the last bend, before the tips, it looks like the pipe size is smaller. Is that 2 1/2" right there?

What do you enjoy listening to most while driving?

The best music is the symphony of all the wailing import tuner drivers heard behind me. Besides that, Liquid Metal or Octane on Sirrius.
