It's really difficult to get the pirellis to hook. MT ET strret radials will do the trick. I set mine at about 15psi and launch at 3500-3800 rpm. Stock car with 3.73 runs 12.59-12.79 and 1.79 60ft.
A word of warning, don't heat up the tires with the Trac Control on. American Muscle has a pic of what happens when you do. Rear caliper bolts snapped because the trac control engaged. You might want to put a post it note on the dash to remind you, until it becomes a habit. There is a lot to...
I installed BMR upper and lower controls arms and it eliminated the wheel hop. the trade off is more interior noise due to the harder bushing, but the wheel hop is gone. As for the interior, maybe you can have it dyed.
Yes they are worth it. I have the Borla S and they fill the cutouts perfectly and sound great. Look at it this way, you will be listening to the exhaust for the entire time you own the car, might as well get what sounds great to you.
We are having similar whine issues for quite some time. Ford replaced the gears, but the whine continued. So they sent an engineer to the dealer to drive the car. He suggested they repace the entire rear end assembly. We still have the whine. We are also concidering filing under the lemon...
My understanding is that Bama tunes had issues with the # 8 cylinder early "11 tunes. I remeber reading the American Muscle was covering complete engine replacement if there was an engine failure with their Bama tunes. Contact Am Muscle.
1BAD02RT, why do you want the Brembo brake package? Looks to be very expensive and not much pay off for a V6 Mustang. Also, do some research, the Brembo's will squeal unless you do a lot of hard driving and braking.
Thanks for the info. It's a dd that goes to the strip as much as weather and time permits and is driven very hard by myself, my wife, more moderately. But in city driving, light braking is unavoidalbe, and the squeal drives me nuts.
We have '12 Brembo GT that has brake squeal. We have taken it to the dealer now 4 times and they are in contact with Ford. Ford responded to me and told me it is the nature of the Brembo brakes and that there is no remedy, nor are they looking for one. So, this is a warning to those of you...
Update: When the dealer changed the ring and pinion, they did not secure the pan hard bar. As for the brakes, per Ford Motor Corp, if you have the Brembo brakes, get used to brake squeal. They tell me it is the nature of the brakes. That answer really doesn't work for me. I asked if...
I know I'm a little late to the thread, however, I will say if you have a southern accent, it's not as user friendly. And if your trying to get directions while driving, road noise will not help you out at all. You'll have to pull over. I have used it several times and it works well. You...
We have brake squeal everytime we touch the brakes, and it comes from the rears. We have 4 vehicles, the Mustang being the newest and the oldest is a 71 Skylark, but none squeal, except the Mustang. We had a 45 min meeting with the service dept manager last evening and he was unaware of much...
