I have am autometer mechanical FPG and Its been pegged out since I bought the car about 6 months ago. I had the fuel lines unhooked when I was installing the heads on the car last month and it didn't change anything. Is there a way to check the gauge? Or is there anything else to check?

Just wanted to post and update... I got a Moates chip from Willy at dirty dirty racing and it now idles like it should. I'm happy to finally get rid of the annoying surging idle. His customer service was great also.

Yeah the previous owner went a tad bit too far with the red. Some of it i dont mind but was planning on going back to black on the cowl vent and wipers for sure. Havent decided on the rest yet though.

Yes it gets to 180 to 190. I just didnt let it run that long before hand.

Anything specific to look at at the egr? The car was probably at about 150 when i checked the codes so it was fully warmed up.

Yes the idle raised during the test. When I set the idle again a few days ago I did it with the iac unplugged to begin with. I set it around 800 where it seems like a good idle (sound wise) then plugged the IAC back in, reset computer and thats where I am at now. When I start the car cold it...

I tested the wires to the IAC with my meter and got 14.49 to engine ground and 13.44 to return wire/computer ground. So I assume thats working properly? Pulled codes and got these. engine off codes: 33 engine on codes: 21 94 44 33 I still get no change in idle when I remove the...

No adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Actually my fuel pressure guage is pegged out but i havent got to check it out yet. It was that way when i got it. I pull codes tomorrow and post back

Well i'm going to spend some time on it tomorrow evening and I'll be sure to post the outcome. I'm not arguing the cause either way because most of my experience comes with carbed motors on older mustangs or nissans 350z and Titan which I have now. I'm open to all ideas either right or wrong...

Im not doubting his knowledge of these motors. He wasn't throwing parts at it. I got there to pick up the car about 10 minutes before he was closing. He went to back the car out and the idle was acting funny. During his test drive 45 minutes earlier it did not which it does not do now either...
