    H&R Springs coil-bound

    Most cars in this area are rusty like this - nothing unusual. What could have happened to cause the springs to sag like this, beside go off some "sweet jumps"???

    Ok, sorry about the incomplete info. Car is a 2000 GT with the 4.6 manual. I was kind of leaning toward a cluster problem too, but I was hoping it was something simpler. I still need to check the fan function, but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary on it yet.

    Ok, I have another (hopefully not stupid) question: The temp gauge always stays on cold, the the engine is clearly running at normal temp, because a) I get heat from the heater, and b) it's not overheating. I replaced the coolant sensor hoping that would be a simple fix, but no luck. Any ideas...

    Which service manual??

    I just got a new-to-me 2000 GT and it needs a bit of work. What's the best service manual out there? I know there are Haynes and Chilton that are reasonably priced, but there is also the Ford factory service manual, which costs about 3x as much. Is it worth it? Thanks in advance!

    Thanks for the heads-up. I'm looking for a manual - don't like autos...plus, that is an ugly color (no offence to you green 'stang owners, just not my cup of tea). I'm checking Craigslist in my area now to see if I can find something better.
