Aftermarket HP coil damage to ECU?

I bought a used 2006 GT 'Vert recently. While having some work done my mechanic noticed that the previous owner had replaced the OEM coil packs wi HI Performance COPs from Accel. He told me that the aftermarket HP coils could ruin the ECU and cause expensive repairs. Has anyone else ever heard...

Brembo brake package wheel and brake question

I ordered the Brembo package because I plan to do some weekend autocrossing. I figured the suspension and brake upgrades would give me a good starting point without having to do a lot of aftermarket parts shopping and swapping to get started. "To each his own"... that's why they make it an option.

When to switch to Synthetic Oil in '12 5.0?

You're so right. People have strong opinions about conventional, blends, and pure synthetics. I'm sure there are plenty of misconceptions about all of them. Depending on use and circumstances any of the options would be fine.

    2011 GT Shifting Issue

Started having the same problem a couple hundred miles ago. Have a Hurst short throw installed and it makes no difference.

Brembo brake package wheel and brake question

The Brembo package actually includes over the stock GT, a different suspension tune, stability control calibration, 19" Brembo specific wheels, as well as the brakes themselves for $1695.00. Mine also came with Goodyear F1 supercar tires. Worth the money to me? You bet! Eye candy, not hardly...

When to switch to Synthetic Oil in '12 5.0?

I read it the same way Weazl. I have an appointment in the morning for my first oil change (750 miles) and I will check with the service dept. and let you know what they say. If it came with synthetic blend I'm changing to full synthetic tomorrow.

I have a question about the skip shift in our cars

Below is from Edmund's Inside Line: "Proponents of the skip-shift system argue that if the system helps to reduce the gas-guzzler tax, then it's cool since it saves the customer some cash. However, the Mustang isn't even close to the gas guzzler tax threshold -- which is based on "unadjusted"...

    Post Pics of Your Mustang

I picked up my 2012 GT Premium Conv. on Dec. 23, 2011. The only mod so far is the Hurst shifter. Love the car and get nothing but compliments on it. A link to pics below. http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.265864180144446.62969.100001625978431&type=1&l=58fb2b349a

I have a question about the skip shift in our cars

Just curious...but who buys a 412 hp car and then worries about gas mileage? If you want to save gas the skip shift should help, if you drive the car like it was meant to be driven you will never notice it. Mine has never been an issue even in heavy traffic. It has never "forced" me to do anything.
