Sporadic Misfire With Cd Ignition Box

84Ttop I haven't had a chance to pull it apart, but I did read that there was and adjustment screw down in there and the only way to get to it was by pulling the top half off like you said. Maybe thats all I need to do. The vacuum advance moves like it should if I apply vacuum to the distributor...

Sporadic Misfire With Cd Ignition Box

The plug that your talking about liljoe07, plugs into an extension set of wires. From that extension I hook it to the box like I would normal to the coil. I have a RED wire that goes from the distributor to the keyed RED wire on the box, then I have a GREEN wire that goes from the distributor to...

Electrical Battery Discharging, 92 Lx 5.0

I would take the car over to a Super Wal-Mart that has a Tire Lube Express or Autozone and let them hook a tester up to the battery. It will test your Battery, Alternator, and Starter. If the battery is bad it will say bad cell. If the alternator is bad, it will more than likely be an open diode...

Hey guys my friend has a 1993 Lx which has been converted over to Carb. Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

Ok man im gonna be honest...what have you been trying to inform me about this whole time. Maybe im just reading things wrong. First you said I didnt have an '88 harness, which you were right, I really didnt. I said after the info I received and some more researching I have an '89 harness. You...

    Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

I get what what your saying. When I get a chance I'll take some pics of the harness. The reason I say it was fully replaced and not modified is because I dont see any cut or splicing of wires. Every wire that goes to the EEC is the color it is suppose to be. The MAF connector I have it the oval...

    Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

Im curious about your post...Is the intentions of it about the " T " connector for the new Maf sensor or about the ACT sensor location. My car is an '87, ive determined that the wiring harness is an '89. I know I previously thought it was an '88 but I was wrong on that. The harness I have now...

400 Hp With A Stock Cam!

Come to think about it, I didnt think of it like that. What you said does make sense. Ive always read that you'll get about 25-30 horses tops with a right intake and carb setup. Well it would of been nice if it really would be that easy then. Maybe ill just be optimistic and say the motor they...

Whats A Maf Adapter And Why Would I Need One?

Im thinking of getting a 70mm MAF Sensor from a 94-95 Mustang but I keep reading that Im gonna need a MAF Adapter. Is it a wiring harness adapter for the plug, or is it an adapter so itll fit on the intake tubing. I have a 70mm Throttle Body, but I used the rubber ends from my BBK Cold Air...

400 Hp With A Stock Cam!

I dont know if this has already been covered or not, but if you haven't read it...its worth taking a look at. Its how to get 400 HP by just changing a few things. Its based on a Carburetor set up. Worth a read anyway though. http://www.carcraft.com/techarticles/116_0307_ford_302_v8_engine_buildup/

    Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

Aslong as it'll work with a MAF EEC I dont really care what its to be honest lol. The pins match up to the spots they're suppose to be in on the EEC connector so I'm just happy I dont have to buy a harness or cut and splice everything. Its already beeb done for me.

    Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

Hey Blown, the diagram is only gonna show the wires that's used, not the connector itself. I checked my wires and the colors don't match up to your schematic, the color wires that I have are Tan/Org, Blu/Yel, Red, Blk. Your pic shows DrkBwn/Org, Tan/LtBlu, Red, Blk. No disrespect, I appreciate...

    Maf Conversion Confusion, Please Help

That is what I was referring to. The connector on mine is a 4 pin, 4wire. I have seen some connectors that are a 5 pin, 4 wire, but mines not one of those.
