    Sounds like an exhaust leak. Even though it appears to be coming from the top of the engine, noises like that from under the car can play tricks on your ears.     2001 cobra front & rear Eibach spring install

    If the Eibachs are anything like the H&R's, the lettering should be right-side up, i.e. top of letters toward top of car. As far as spring positioning, mark the position of the bottom pigtails on your original springs before removing them to ensure you get the new ones oriented the same way. T-
