I guess what I should have said is the AOD in my car is crappy. Wasn't trying to rip on anyone who has an AOD or say your tranny is crappy if you have an AOD. Lately mine slips, takes too long to engage in R or D, and ever since I've had it I feel like it shifts into 2nd and 3rd WAY too early...

The AOD in my 89 LX 5.0 is dying. What other automatic choices do I have? I'd like something that can handle extra power, but still be good for cruising around (which is the majority of what I do in it....it's a convertible :flag: ). Is the crappy AOD my only option? Would hate to rebuild a...
