Electrical 1996 Mustang Convertible Auto Power Window Drop- Please Help!

No, that feature was added in 2005, started with S197. I have never seen it in an SN95 or New Edge. Your top is sagging or your window gaskets need replacing (E-bay used ,kinda expensive cause they aren't making new ones) or your car is tweaked. Windows should fit tight and hold out rain or...

Engine Need a recommendation on exhaust manifold gasket. GT40-X

Ordered! I had a difficult time Googling the answer "Best GT40X Exhaust gasket" or variations thereof so I posted this thread. Maybe I'll post a photo before installation for anyone that happens upon this in the future.

Engine Need a recommendation on exhaust manifold gasket. GT40-X

An passenger side manifold exhaust leak has developed on my 6000 mile new Ford Racing Crate 306. When I first installed the headers with the engine out of the car I bought what I thought were decent quality and correct gaskets. They turned out to be just a hair too small for the large exhaust...

EEC IV load balance test "code 10"

Are you sure the test even started? There is nothing wrong with cylinder #1 if you are trying to run a KOER test and it never started. From my Ford EEC code reader book: "Code 10 is not a fault code. The Vehicles computer uses code 10 to signal the Code Reader operator to perform a WOT (Wide...

Ford Racing 306 Crate motor. Timing chain cover install issue

Ohhhhhhhh. Thanks for the information. It makes sense because the cover has the provision for a mechanical fuel pump. I honestly don't even know how one works though because I've never worked on a carbed engine. I was worried for a little bit but this will be easy.

Ford Racing 306 Crate motor. Timing chain cover install issue

I bought this motor for my 1995 GT after my original blew after 250,000 miles. The problem I'm having is the sn-95 timing chain cover wont fit over this: What is this cup and what is it doing on my cam sprocket? If i remove it i get this: The pin sticks out and seems to prevent me...

    x pipe

You've got as few options if it just the Mid pipe you're replacing. If you're want to remove all the smog equipment (Pump /2 hard lines/ Rubber lines with valves) then run a 90.5 inch belt (stock pulleys). Belt routing is a little different and plug up the left over vacuum lines. Florida...

    x pipe

I don't know what other people are talking about the EGR bung is on the headers not the X/H pipe. I used a penny and JB Weld to plug that hole up. There is only one extra opening coming off my catted BBK X Pipe and it sure as heck doesn't go to the EGR. That tube connects to the smog pump...

Noisy Valvetrain after H/C/I install and I thought I did everything right

Intakehoses.com provided the 90degree and 45degree rubber elbows and the 3inch diameter aluminum tubing 6 inches long total. The part before the MAF is from a store bought kit by MAC. I didn't want to relocate the K&N from the fenderwell to the engine bay. Its anchored down and doesn't move at...

Noisy Valvetrain after H/C/I install and I thought I did everything right

I don't understand it either. I thought stock pushrods would work and they kinda did. But obviously something wasn't right with my using 6.272 pushrods. They were very noisy. Rockers were not contacting the center of the valve stem they were on the edge. Installed 6.3's and the noise is...

Noisy Valvetrain after H/C/I install and I thought I did everything right

I know they're not shaved down cause I bought them from a guy....... posting in this very thread! :nice: I guess its a combo of thicker head gaskets and the cam I've ordered the 6.3 Trick Flow push rods we'll see if it works. I'll let you all know in a few days.

Noisy Valvetrain after H/C/I install and I thought I did everything right

I've found my problem. My pushrods are the tiniest bit too short. Daves94vert pointed me in the right direction. I hope I explain this right. On both the intake and exhaust pushrods when the number one cylinder is on TDC of the compression stroke there is rotational movement of the pushrods. The...
