Please Help With Diagnostics Codes P1000 And P1401

The DPFE sensor does throw an EGR code. Went through that twice already. I was told to test it with an ohmmeter to be certain. To clear the P1000 code just drive it long enough for the ECM to run through its diagnostic cycle again.

    Question On Purchasing Short Blocks

I checked the numbers on the block during the build. She's from Windsor, MI.

    Question On Purchasing Short Blocks

The only issues (that I am aware of) is that the older blocks were not set up for roller lifters and that the oil dipstick is in the timing cover. There are kits to adapt them to roller lifters and an oil pan with a dipstick provision will be needed. I just swapped a '68 block into my '95 and...

    Looking For Side Exhaust Pics

ProKiller, I must say your car is rather beautiful piece of machinery, I really like the how the side skirts wrap around the tips. Never would have thought about the Camaro style tips. Nice low profile look.

    Looking For Side Exhaust Pics

I am nearing the completion of my project so I have been playing around with exhaust system ideas. I have already chosen the Flowtech Warlock as my muffler choice (mainly for the cutouts). I am a little tired of the standard rear exhaust look so I was trying to come up with a side exhaust system...

    94 v6 to v8 swap

Too late now, C4 is in the car and I would really hate to see what would happen if I put this T5 behind that 302 with bad synchros.

    94 v6 to v8 swap

Trying to find a T5 bell for a 94-95 is like a needle in a hay stack. I tried everywhere around here and only one place offered to order it from a salvage yard in Michigan for $300. I decided the C4 was good enough. My 3rd gear synchro was almost gone anyway and my girlfriend refuses to learn to...

    94 v6 to v8 swap

Its much easier than one might think. If you use a tranny from a 94-95 you will save some headache. Older transmissions are shorter and require a little crossmember modification and a driveshaft spacer. Also if you decide to use a mechanical fuel pump like I did you will need a new fan, the...

    Looking For A New Fan

Sounds good. Looks like I'll be hitting up the scrap yard tomorrow sometime. Thanks for the help gents.

    Looking For A New Fan

I found one on Summit Racing's website that is pretty thin but it only flows 960 CFM. I found somewhere that the stock fan flows 2700 CFM on low and 3800 on high. Will 960 be enough to keep it cool? I rarely go anywhere outside of town except in October when I go to Cruisin' the Coast and its...

    Looking For A New Fan

Almost done doing my 3.8 to 5.0 swap and I can't get my old electric fan to go back in. I used the timing cover and water pump off of an older fox so I could use a mechanical fuel pump and now the fan hits the water pump. I have been reading about people using Intrepid and Taurus fans in foxes...

Progress Thread Few Pics of My Progress

http://www.facebook.com/video/embed?video_id=445946082141766 First start is a success! Timing is a little off and she's idled a bit high but she is alive. Would have corrected the issues and restarted but the battery died so we called it a day. We also discovered that the hood no longer fits.

    94 v6 to v8 swap

I am actually doing this exact swap with my 95. Pretty straight forward and not as bad as I was expecting. Note that you will not be able to use the V6 transmission with the V8 because of the flywheel being different. This is from All Ford Mustangs but for some reason I can't post links. EFI...

Progress Thread Few Pics of My Progress

This is actually going much smoother than I would have thought. I got the long tubes instead of the shorties, ordered some 5/16 steel fuel line so I don't have rubber going everywhere, and instead of the water pump being too long I found out the the crank pulley was just too short so I ordered a...

Progress Thread Few Pics of My Progress

My grandpa was a truck driver back in the day and my grandma happened to have one of his old ramps laying around. We used the ramp to get it in the back of mom's Mighty Max so it was low enough for the hoist to reach.

Progress Thread Few Pics of My Progress

My parents' old porch was super raggedy but it managed to hold an old Buick 3.8, a Chevy 305 roller, and 2 Olds 350s. What I am more concerned about is how we are getting it down the steps to the driveway...

Thank you for the compliment. I am currently at a stand still due to the holidays and my pockets being drained. Only thing left is the transmission and to figure out the water pump issue.

    Water Pump Issue

Of all the pics I took I didn't take one after after I installed the pump. I will get a pic tomorrow. It's sitting at dad's house because I didn't think my landlord would appreciate me building a motor in my apartment.

    Water Pump Issue

Pulleys are from March Performance and were also ordered for an 85. The water pump is exactly 1 inch too long.
