Brakes The Ultimate 4-lug/5-lug Brake Conversion/upgrade Thread

I did the math and wow, with TC rear calipers and SVO fronts with a SVO mc the ratio is over 18. Definitely not a wash...math rules all. I would end up with my current calipers and SVO mc at a 15.70 ratio. Heck of a lot better than over 17!

Ok, I'll have to keep that in mind. Do you think the larger rears will help offset the smaller fronts though? Since I'm losing 7mm in the front but gaining 7mm in the rear it 'should be a wash but I'll have to the math on it to be sure.

5 lug using Mazda MPV rotors and NRC brackets. I got rears for a song so I think my engine bay is gonna go old school with the SVO mc.

I hoping I didn't miss a post in here somewhere... I'm having a similar soft/hits the floor pedal problem. 93 4cyl booster(stock), wildwood prop valve(p/n #260-11179), 96 V6 m/c, 96 front calipers, TC rear calipers. From what I read here and doing the math I come up with a 17.52 ratio. Fronts...

Yeah, carbureted. The 2.3T is more rare from a collectors standpoint though.

I had to have my machinist take the spacers down too, as expected. I should get them back today.

    Turbo Coupe Rear end Questions

I meant the flange. I think it will be ok to turn it down a little bit to be honest. There is a ton of metal between the wheel stud and edge. It will only be a 1/4"-ish. Thoughts? Maybe I will take and 1/8" from the flange and 1/8" from the inside of the rotor hat...??

    Turbo Coupe Rear end Questions

I know this is digging a thread up from the grave... but I tried this swap and the Mazda rotors didn't fit over the WMS on the SN95 axles. Seems the rotor ID is 5.5" and the WMS is 6"-ish. Think it would be ok to lathe the WMS to fit inside the rotor?
