    T5 Help!

You guys are awesome! Love the info. I definetly wanna do it my self, just need my original back. I'd rather not rebuild this one even if it's for a 50 just for the gearing. Be great if it was a track street car. But she hasn't seen the track at all this year. I spend most my time on the...

    T5 Help!

Thanks revhead347. I agree with the laziness part. I've know him for years and made him a lot of money when I drove a wrecker. So I believe he just slapped it together since it was a favor and he wasn't chargeing me much. I did download the pdf and I even printed it out. Still trying to get my...

    T5 Help!

Thanks Mustang5l5. Never had a problem with all gears grinding. I don't have a firewall adjuster, just adjustable cable. I do believe most the problem is the shift forks. I have an mgw shifter and this trans felt sloppy from the getgo compared to mine. His shop guy got the drift stuck taking the...

I would like to get my original and put a rebuild kit in it. I'm not the best mechanic but I'm not bad at turning wrenches. This is my dd...

    T5 Help!

I need some help. Few months ago my 93 wc t5 had issues. I found out it was the input race. No prob, ordered up a new one, but had problems getting the tail shaft back on. Long story short I fed it up and took it to the shop. Few hundred latter got it back. No reverse, grinding gears. Took it...

    500+ rwhp + stock block = this

Two pairs of pants? What a whimp! Sounds like you're dressed up for a blizzard! It hits 45-50 deg here and the kids are in shorts and t-shirts in the spring hopping over the snow piles. Yup I'm a wimp. But come to Florida when it hits below frezzingand it is 100% humidity. Your clothes freeze...

    500+ rwhp + stock block = this

Concrete wall beat the corrosion to my radiator  Bradenton requires an overflow tank and will ban for life if caught running antifreeze. It's Florida, we get like 2 cold nights a year. You go to work wearing 2 pairs of pants a sweater and jacket and come home wearing shorts and a...

    500+ rwhp + stock block = this

My first time at the track an import blew a hose, after 4 hours they opened one lane. I did see an improvment with purple ice over straight water. Bout 10 degree different. But with the 4 core champion radiator heat is not an issue. Had to put a thermostat in cause I could drive almost 50 miles...

    500+ rwhp + stock block = this

Let the tech official catch you running antifreeze at the track and get banned for life. I like racing more than I mind putting a heat blanket on my motor on nasty nights. So yes, some tap water and purple ice works fine for me, and seems a smart idea seeing how I like running on the track.

    500+ rwhp + stock block = this

I'm not sure the benifit of running thread in plugs, but here in Florida a lot of people don't run antifreeze cause well it's Florida. The past few years we've had some below freezing weather. Being an ex tow truck driver I've seen a lot of blocks busted from freezing. One thing they all had in...

    Won't Start

I had a similar probalem with my previous 93. Turned out the main ground to the engine had fallen off. The car would only start cold, once it heated up the small ground would get hot and not give it enough juice to start. I felt stupid when I found it.

Plus a line lock is fun. Nothing like sitting next to a car with a thrash can muffler and hitting the line lock and just let the car spin at 1500 rpm. They won't even try to take you off the line. And yes, I do not believe you will be having any problems with doing burnouts with your car. Just...

Car Pulls With Clutch In... Hard To Shift

If it's a stock cable and quadrant than pull the clutch pedal all the way up and push it back down. Adjusts like a ratchet. Check the clutch fork and see if the cable adjusts there. And if the cable has made contact with the header and is melted, it will make it hard to push.
