My car is also currently just N/A. Once I get some seat time with it, I would like to spray a little 200 shop or so. I think I read where there was a problem with the mufflers under Boost pressure or something. I also think that placing the mufflers further back near the stock location will help...
My friend Lou (aka: shifter) from PA just sent me pics of the new aluminum exhaust he built for me. It is a 3" dia. with Vibrant mufflers. He did me the favor not to weld the front pipes so they could be fitted on the car. Here are the pics he sent to me:
1st thing to do is just check your fluid level on a level surface. Was the trans ever serviced? Wouldn't hurt to have it checked out Before it is Too Late! Keep us Posted .
Good Luck!
What about having the stock bearing retainer replaced and up-graded with a Steel Bearing Retainer. This is a Great up-grade over stock and Very Easy to do. Just unbolts and bolt back up. Here is one I found for you...
I had a Zoom on my 347. It is a good clutch. You probably need one that is 10 1/2". What power level are you looking for? Is this a street, strip or both car? What is the manufacture of the one you removed or part #?
I hope at least you took a pic of the accident and pic of the guy and car who hit you. Also, a pic of the plates would be nice to support your claim for accident.
Yes, these are the Vibrant 14 inch mufflers. The bodies are only 10 inches long. My friend Shifter is making me a complete exhaust like his. Can't wait to install them and here my baby! Yahooo!! LOL
