    Update: It was the starter solenoid. Got it at Autozone for less than $25 and it has a 3 year warranty. Same thing I bought from one of the online mustang part suppliers and cheaper too.

    Forgot to mention the car is a stick...I drove the car with cruise control on and pressed in the clutch. Cruise control kicked off. That rules out the clutch pedal switch. I'm probably going to replace the starter solenoid even though it's only a few years old just because it's the next cheapest...
