I have a 2001 v6 the problem im having is tail lights stay on.I watched videos on cause but none seem to have same setup as my car.I checked fuse and it was bad replaced and shifting was much easier.Problem is I still have taillights staying on every now and then.Could I need a new brake switch...

I have an oil leak I thought I fixed last week by replacing valve cover gasket.But its back and I think I located where its coming from.Its a black rubber gasket type thing close to the oil drain plug.Can anyone tell me what it is and do they have a habit of needing replacement every now and then
