    i just took a drill and stuck it thru the firewall and cut the thing in half. took like 2 mins and it just fell out rather than prying on stuff that shouldnt be pry'ed on. :)

    i hitup both surfaces with a wire brush and scuffed em up a little down to the bare metal... then i put some high temp RTV on both sides of the gasket and tightened it up. i had no leaks the 1st time... :shrug:

    Exhaust question......

    the gt bumper hangs about 1.5" lower than the LX bumper. the LX's have visible tailpipes. an LX tailpipe would make the exhaust exit right into the bumper and it wouldnt work. if you're setting it up to drag race then why bother with tailpipes? just dump the exhaust... thats like 20 pounds...

    caster & camber plates yes or no?

    it allows more control of the alignment. if your car is lowered on FRPP b or c springs then thats not really beyond the limit of the stock CC plates. if you got money laying around then sure... but otherwise its not really needed and spend it elsewhere... :)

    i agree that the AC system does weigh a lot... but how much hp could it drag away from the crank pulley when its not active? the thing just spins when the clutch isnt engaged. i wouldnt even bet that 1hp is lost. i personally have mine on still just because i havnet bought the march AC...
