I love my Tri-Ax and wouldn't trade it for anything else. Though, I do agree that the Pro 5.0 and Tri-Ax are very similar in quality and performance. With either one you can't go wrong, and the install is very straightforward.

I'd agree, they can usually be found for a fair price. However, I was happy to buy mine new since I knew what I was getting. Can't complain about the quality or performance, either. :)

I use an FRPP 65mm TB, but I do plan to upgrade to a 70mm Accufab at some point.

As everyone else has said, for generic replacement bulbs, the Sylvania Silverstars are the way to go without a doubt. They're all about producing more visible light and making the night brigher -- As opposed to just tinting/coloring the bulb in order to achieve a different color.

I ran SN-95 spindles with the stock CC plates for quite some time without any issue... I did however, updrade to a set of Pro3i units and I couldn't be happier with the results.

It does take some getting used to, I'll agree... But, thankfully a couple of other boards I frequent have done this upgrade already. It takes some getting used to, but it is quite nice.
