Not sure if this is what youre asking, but the Autolites I have were recommended to be gapped at .056"

Inventors Needed - Need Help Spacing Exhaust

Thats exactly what I would figure on doing, but I've had this pipe off and on 3 times and it seems once it's tightened down there's never enough clearance. The hanger just keeps the pipe too close for comfort. The passenger side has like 3" of clearance but the drivers side just sucks :(

Inventors Needed - Need Help Spacing Exhaust

I finally found the source of my vibration at drone speed, it ends up that the h-pipe sits too close to the crossmember on the driver's side. There is about 1/8" clearance between them. I tried prying the pipe away a little bit but I had no luck. So what I'm thinking is that I need to wedge...

    Exhaust Hanger Question

I have been fighting with my h-pipe for the last few months trying to figure out why it was vibrating and hitting the body. This weekend I wrapped the pipe in header wrap to keep it off the floorboards. I went for a ride and it had the exact same problem. So I slid under it again and started...

    Any fix for vibration problem?

Is there any way to check the motor mounts or is it just a visual thing?

    Any fix for vibration problem?

I've had problems with an exhaust leak where the headers meet the H-pipe for quite a while now, even after many attempts to tweak the h-pipe into place. Last week I found out about muffler paste, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I pulled the h-pipe back down for the 50th time and smothered the...

Anyone have a black magic fan? POST PICS!

On a stocker you should have no trouble, I've got enough room in front of mine so that I can still get a 3/4" drive ratchet with a 4" extension on the crank bolt without needing to remove the fan. There's at least 1-1/2 to 2" of clearance, but I have the older model that has been in...

    Electric Fan Question

I have a black magic. The T-stat doesn't work all that well, but I just set it so that it's almost always on. I've had no cooling issues with it, and I'm running underdrives as well.

    Brake Parts Question

So I finally tracked my leak down to the proportioning valve under the master cylinder. It's leaking through the front rubber seal at about a thimble full per day :nonono:. I called around today to get a price on replacing it, after calling Autozone, carquest, pep boys, and murrays they all...

Blown head gasket - Lose coolant?

I've changed the oil since this problem has started happening, doesn't seem to be any milkshake problems. just can't seem to hang on to my coolant. I took a look at the freeze plugs, but the block was pretty dirty. I cleaned it up a bit, so I guess I'll have to wait and see if anything shows...

Blown head gasket - Lose coolant?

After replacing upper/lower radiator hose, T/B hoses, heater core hoses, heater core, overflow, radiator, water pump, and any other cooling hoses I could find. I still can't seem to figure out where my coolant is going. The only thing I can think is that I usually get some water that comes out...

Need help ID'ing this brake part

It seems like it's leaking from the rubber seal on the front. So do I need to replace it then? I dont see it listed on Autozone's inventory, is there another name for it, or does anyone know what they cost?

Need help ID'ing this brake part

The part I have circled in the picture below is leaking. Does anyone know if it is included when you buy a master cylinder, or if theres a name for it? Also, If I need to replace the master cylinder, would upgrading to a 95 style booster/cylinder make much difference with my stock brakes...

How hard to fix rear differential leak?

Sorry, the line I mentioned is top center in pix5.jpg Also, I have a question regarding my brake fluid leak, I noticed that there is a drop or two of fluid on the little rubber seal on the front of the (proportion valve?) thing under the master cylinder. Could this be a potential leak spot...

How hard to fix rear differential leak?

I slid under the car to try and find my brake fluid leak, only to find that there's yet another leak :nonono: . I think it's coming from the rear differential, but I'm not positive, there's fluid on all the lines and the exhaust as well. I don't think it's coming from the cover, it seems like...

    Brake fluid disappearing, very SLOWLY...

Brake fluid disappearing, please help!!! Ok, I just replaced my wheel cylinders because I thought thats where I was losing brake fluid from. I've been riding a couple of days now and I checked the fluid again, it dropped down about 1/2" or so :nonono: . So now I know it's not coming from...

so where exactly is the clutch quadrant?

You have to get the two clips shown in the picture out (Item #3). It's a bitch, and it'll probably take at least 45 minutes of screwing with it, but it can be done. Cram your arm up there and use a small needle nose pliers or a small flathead screwdriver and just keep trying to pop them out...

    wrapping spark plug wires

If they're arcing, then they're toast like everyone said above. My headers like to melt em, so after buying about 3 sets of wires, I finally found that wrapping the last few inches in tinfoil gives them enough heat deflection. If yours are arcing because they're old and abused, then it's time...

so where exactly is the clutch quadrant?

You cant see it from a picture. Reach your hand way up there, a little to the right of the hood release and feel around. The clutch cable runs in over the top of it, so if you can find the cable, you should be able to find the quadrant. It's a bitch to remove, but the metal ones are way better...
