It's been so long since I've had my 96 Cobra, but I had DynoMax Ultra Flow and they were quiet at idle, crusing speeds and even wide open throttle. I do have to say that they did become louder at WOT than you'd think if you only heard the car idling.
I always would smoke people back in the...
That's the 94-95 spindles. The bend in the arm, makes the tie rod go UP to bolt it in. The 96-04 arms are straight, just like the fox body. It does push the wheels outward, but I liked the ride and handling of both foxes I built with the 96+ spindles over the the fox I built with the 94-95.
18x9 with a 24mm offset and 96+ spindles will sit right at the edge of the fenders. If you go with route I highly recommend a 255 tire with a rim guard lip on the tire. Certain brands have that and certain brands do not. The Goodyears that come on the GT500's have that lip. They are 18x9.5"...
Right on!!! We'll see what comes thru. There's a 4V Cobra coming up soon too. 97, bu 161,000. UGH...I can't do that. I won't rule out any low mileage 96-01 Cobra. Obviously I wanna wait and see if any Coyote's or Terminators come thru. I don't care what it is, but 400rwhp in a fox from a mod...

Yeah, I totally agree with you guys. I wouldn't go thru this big hassle. Hell I run 275's on my stock 17x9 wheels on the Terminator making 600rwph and I don't feel I need 10.5's and 315's. LOL. It does look mean, but yes, not practical.
The Coyotes are still expensive too, but so are the Terminators. There was an 11 or 12 5.0 car hit kinda light all over that went for $7,500 at auction on Friday. I woulda been a player if I had no car right now. I just can't justify spending that much when I still have my Terminator. That...
The BBK's on my 96 Cobra lasted a long time. Def go ceramic whatever you may purchase. I had BBK's on an 89 LX I had last fall with a BBK H pipe and brand new catback (FLows) Sounded great, but remember L/T's are quieter than Shorties.
Old thread, but some Nova guy on Corral did it. But he had stock Fox length axles and used a BFH on the frame rails. It's a tight fit, but it can be done.
That's another big question, what year is your car itself? And what year engine harness was used? Did you keep the original body harness from selenoid to taillights? What year MAF and computer you have?
With that rear you'll have to order some 17x10.5's in a S197 offset to keep them inside the quarter, but they'll still be RIGHT TO THE EDGE. Too low or a spring and you'll scrape rubber.
