    Tim is the Man I had the very first Novi 2000 Mongoose kit from Tim, on my 2001 GT. The tune was as close to perfect as I could hope for, drivability was like stock, and the car put down 429rwhp/394rwtq for well over a year before I sold it. You can trust Tim and MPH.

    I'm a little curious about this as well. I'll probably be buying from a dealer several hundred miles away, and I'll have to drive the car back home. I guss I can switch between 4th and 5th on the highway, and travel at various speeds to vary the RPMs....

    I imagine that there is no facility in the tune to increase timing above whatever the "87 optimized" ratings are. In other words, it will pull timing if detonation is detected, but it will not raise it above a preset ceiling if no detonation is detected. The truth of this will not be known...

    Nope. The 2001-2004 GT had 9.4:1 compression and no knock sensors, and was rated for 87 octane. The tune is rich from the factory, but that's just normal over-engineering to keep reliability high. Since the new GT does have knock sensors, it should not knock as much as the 2001-2004 GTs on...

    GM doesn't "need" the 6.0 to get that hp level; they have gotten over 400hp from the Z06 5.7L motor... 400hp from a 5.4L motor should not be hard. They got 385 from the 4V Cobra R motor in 2000...the variable valve timing and a bump in compression should make up the difference and then some...

    Sorry, different cars for different markets. The Mustang is a two door sports coupe, the Falcon is a four dour sports sedan. I'd like to see the Falcon replace the Taurus in the US, but apples & oranges to compare directly to the Mustang.
