you guys dont know much about the ls1. stock 281sc makes about 300-320 to the wheel, the stock ls1 does the same. and with simple bolt ons the ls1 can make upwards of 330 to the wheel. the ls1 does not have the suspension and heavy 18 inch wheels. hope he does not have a head/cam combo or...

if you want 12 second quarter mile times, and have some cash. take the series II blower off and put a paxton or a kenne belle on. with a built motor you still will only make 350-360 rwhp.

have to disagree on the engine lasting longer. my 01 had the series II and cracked a seal on piston one. it all depends on the tune. any car can last if the tune is correct.

ok here is my opinion. if i had to do it all over again, i would have purchased a speedster NA, and did all the engine work myself or purchase a E. i bought a 01 loaded (all saleen options), and ended up taking almost everything off, and putting on aftermarket parts.

if you can get one cheap do it, but i would say go with a paxton novi 2000, it will make more power than the series II.

what a difference. i had the series II blower the most it put out was 330 rwhp, but gobs of torque. so i took that off rebuilt the motor and strapped on a paxton novi 2000. it was the best idea i ever had. its the most fun driving.

lets just say 473 rwhp 411 rw torque, way to many mods to list.

off road x will make alot more noise, but won't give you that much more horsepower than an aftermarket x pipe with cats. i say change the x-pipe but do not go off road. depending on where you live if you get caught making to much noise by johnny law your gonna get a hefty fine and have to put on...

nope stock pulley 8-10 lbs, the cams help out a ton, i recommend them for everyone. with the series II or iv roots style you can make some nice power. i seen a guy at the shop with a 02 saleen make 360 rwhp with the series II. i would go kenne belle and pulley down if i had my chance to do it...
