    Built Ford Tough!!!

Definitely the funniest thing I have seen in a while......poor Toyota.

    Body damage estimate

There's a place an hour from me that I had to go to and have my paint 'matched' and specially blended. My old car had a pearl blue mettalic that wasn't factory, and they were able to run it under a spectrometer, or whatever the hell they use and matched it pretty damn well. I know white is...

    the toyota corvette

Really good article. I've read a couple similar that reiterate the fact that the only way GM will be able to make it into the near future is through bankruptcy. They can't fully restructure the way they need to until that happens.

Newer model seats into '93 coupe

I've been toying with the idea of swapping an interior out of a newer mustang into my '93 coupe. I know at least a couple of you on here have swapped the '94-'04 type interiors into your cars, but was wondering if the '05-'08 stuff can fit as well. I'd assume the front seats would be easy...

    first time at the track

No; street tires 'cup' in the middle, unlike drag radials when you lower the pressure.

    first time at the track

Check out your posi and be sure it's operating right. Jack the rear up, put the car in neutral, and have someone hold a tire as you try to turn the tire/wheel on the opposite side of the diff by hand. If you can easily spin one while the other is being held, your posi needs a rebuild. You...

New thoughts about the drive shaft vibration issue...please read

Same way you check a pushrod; roll it along a level surface (like a table) with the hub hanging off the end. You'll know if it's twisted/bent right away.

    pulling the engine!

If you pull both the engine and tranny together (I think this is by far easier), put the rear of the car up on jackstands. You can literally almost pull the motor/tranny "straight out the front" in a very easy manner. This way you don't have to tilt the motor/tranny at an extreme angle to get...

oil pump problem? How to get it out

Are you going off the factory gauge, or do you have a different electrical/mechanical gauge that you are going by? If you have 10 psi at idle, it's OK. The general rule is 10 psi for every 1,000 rpm you spin. A new oil pump solves low oil pressure problems probably 1% of the time. I'm...

    289???in a fox

No real reason it can't be done, except converting over to a roller cam is prohibitively expensive. Unless this 289 is already built, your friend might be further ahead selling his 289 and scooping up a roller motor to start with.

    Tranny cross member?

It will make it a lot easier if you do..........

    What fuel pressure?

Mods are in sig below. I was running between 39-40 psi when I last checked (not changed when we installed the new engine), and was only able to trap as high as 103.7 mph when I got it to the track last fall. Wanted to see what I could squeeze out of it before getting a 'real tune'.

    Help my buget build

Your best bang for the buck at this point is going to be heads. A cam doesn't buy you anything with stock heads, and doesn't buy you a ton, even with heads and intake. You already have a good intake, so I'd be looking to scoop up some cheap GT40P's (not all headers fit these due to spark plug...

Somebody Set Me Up The Bomb

Sounds like your tranny is gone, but try to verify it first. Get the car up on jackstands and be sure that the clutch is properly engaging/disengaging. Make sure the clutch fork is doing what it's supposed to do and that you don't have a clutch that is screwed up.

Somebody Set Me Up The Bomb

Yours honestly sounds like a clutch cable that is stretched/breaking. I went through this a couple weeks ago after pulling my car out of winter storage.
