I know this is an old thread but did you get everything bolted up? I too am wanting to do the TT2s with the Mustang Steve conversion.

My 67 did that until i figured out that a spark plug boot had worked its way loose enough to affect the idle and i had tuned it unknowingly based on 7 cylinders firing which caused the engine to race. Once that plug was fixed i redid the tune and it was fine.

Your best bet on getting an accurate value for the car would be to take it to a local classic car appraiser. Something else you could do is find a Mustang Club in your area and speak to some of their members who would know a trustworthy place to take it to. If the club is big enough it might...

Good looking 66 BTW! Unfortunately my family found this out first hand when our 66 Caprice was stolen and chopped in the early 90s, fortunatly we had it apraised and got full value from the insurance company instead of what they wanted to offer which was insulting.

Sorry for your loss... I would try and find a local car aprasier, specifically one who deals in classic cars. That way you should get a very good idea of what it is worth and what level of insurance you should have on it. Also if its professionaly appraised and something happens to it, you wont...

Keep looking and dont get discouraged, it took me 5 years to find my 67 for the price i wanted to pay. The one for you is out there somewhere...

I would say get a modern unit of your choice and put it in the glove box.
