Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

With the car off, try unplugging and reattaching the injector harnesses and coil pack harnesses (looking for a nice click/secure feeling). Then start it up again. Let us know if that fixes it. Those harnesses can be sensitive.

    Need Racing Seat Reccomendations

Here's another option: http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/item/CS-S20301PR/Corbeau-Gts-Black-Micro-Suede-Seat-Sold-As-Pair I have the Corbeau TRS seats, but would do the GTS or "Sport" ones if I could do it over (either in vinyl or micro-suede). The TRS shoulder bolsters rub on the doors and...

    Suspension Sr Performance Coilover Quality

No reviews yet on SR coilovers yet but I agree the kit is interestingly inexpensive. Most folks have Maximum Motorsports custom kits so they can carefully select spring rates and struts/shocks to fit their intended use.

Afs 18x9 03 Cobra Wheels Powder Coated

Finished product turned out lighter than I initially had wanted and the shop painted my center caps which wasn't part of the arrangement!! I got a fairly significant price reduction due to that. I wasn't crazy about the look with painted center caps and chrome lug nuts.. But I'm pretty happy...

Afs 18x9 03 Cobra Wheels Powder Coated

Originally it was going to be $150 per wheel including re-mounting and balancing, but they are behind schedule on getting it done, so I'm getting a discount when I pick it up on Tuesday.

Afs 18x9 03 Cobra Wheels Powder Coated

So as many experience, the clear coat finish on my AFS 03 Cobra 18x9s is pretty much gone. I've had them since 2004 and decided I like the design enough to keep them and refinish them. I dropped the car off Tuesday and went for a "flat gunmetal" look. See Porsche GT3 pic below from the LA...

    Wheel Tire Upgrade

I'm running 275/35/18 on 18x9 w/ 3.73's in the rear. Go with Maximum Motorsports Lower Control arms if you're looking to improve rear suspension. You'll need at least an 18x10 wheel in rear to run 285/35 or 295/35. See tirerack.com and click on specs for a tire and you'll see the allowed rim...

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

Anyone know where this guy goes? I can't seem to find anywhere it could be plugged in, haha. Here's everything put back together. I had to drill a hole in my alternator bracket to get everything to work, but I've ordered the modified bracket that works with the aluminum crossover - $17 at...

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

Here's one after the intake manifold was removed And with the Trick Flow gaskets in place.. And with the new Ford Racing part and fuel rails in place... I finished the project and ended up with one "stranded" sensor coming off the harness on the driver's side by the firewall, one...

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

Thanks for the tips. I'm going to try to pull out the manifold without moving the STB (we'll see if that's possible). I need the 1/2" fuel line disconnect tool right? I hear they come in packs of 4 and at least 1 of them will work. I'll definitely go with new O'rings too and use WD-40...

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

Thanks guys. The spark plugs are fairly new (I change them every 27k), but I do plan on replacing the coil-on-plugs w/in the next 10k. So far I've pulled off: Intake pipe Coolant hose Vacuum lines Water pump pulley (needed to since it was in the way of the alternator bolt) Alternator More...

Engine 2001 Mustang Gt - Intake Manifold Coolant Nipple Broke @ 121k Miles

Well, I thought this car was too reliable for it's own good. I was a mile from home when the coolant nipple broke off my intake manifold and sprayed coolant all over the engine bay. I've ordered a new Ford Racing Intake Manifold from Late Model Restoration along with Trick Flow Intake-t0-head...

Expired 2001 Bullitt Rocker Panels (los Angeles)

I've got the drivers side and passenger side Bullitt rocker panels (long pieces only, not the short mudflaps). They are black take-offs and in good condition (minor rock chips on the bottoms). I'm located in Los Angeles and prefer local pickup. Asking just $200 for the pair!

    Cold Air Intake

I ran K&N's for almost 100,000 miles, and both of them had the foam fall off at the clamping side which turned into a gluey mess. That on top of the the recharge oil messiness, I decided to go back to the Motorcraft filter for $16 shipped from summitracing.com and plan to every 10-12k miles...
