    Anyone ever supercharged a navigator?

I added a blower to my 98 navigator, just wondering if anyone else had done something like this and knows where to find a good programmer. Apparently, everyone forgot about the 98 model except superchips and their programming dept doesn't exist yet for it.

    Help with overheating issues

I see where you are coming from. Although I sold the car last year, I am still interested in what may have fixed it as I have future plans to build another one every badder than the first one. I ran synthetic oil, I tried adjusting the % of coolant to water both ways, higher and lower (just...

    Help with overheating issues

I knew someone would scoff at the no stat comment, but, lower operating temperatures lead to less wear in the long run. Running without the tstat during the summer only makes it run "cold" for a few minutes. Mine would run between (depending on day, temp, and traffic) 160 and 190 without the...

Sometimes you can wedge a, like 15mm wrench in there just right and it will pop out. Other times, about 4 hours of cussing and yelling and 50 pieces later you'll get it

Another Surging Idle Problem Please Help

    Help with overheating issues

My 89 used to be like that. In the end I ran no thermostat during the summer with dual electric fans. I had many people tell me that the Trick Flow stage one cam with the big duration and lift was causing it to run hot like that, but with no tstat it ran fine 99% of the time

Brand new throughout bearing noise? Help!

I changed mine to a steel bearing retainer that I bought from summit a couple years back, and the damn retainer was bad. The sleeve actually came loose of the mount and in the end, the output shaft moved a fraction of an inch with disallowed full disenguagement of the clutch unless in neutral...

So I cracked my lower intake, WTF

I just read that same thing, that you'd be better off with a street heat intake vs the track heat version. I ran the street heat and got great results from it. And, for temp purposes, JB weld (not the JB quick, that stuff is crap) will do you over. I cracked my radiator a few years back on...

    Electric Fan Question

I used two 15 inch fans from advance auto. I didn't do a thermostatic switch, I ran two seperate switches into the console so that I could turn them on and off at my discretion. And during the summer, I ran no thermostat. THat fixed all of my overheating problems with summer traffic here in...

I just got this 86GT. 62K real miles on it. But, there is a little brown wire with white stripe that causing some issues. Found out the hard way the tails weren'nt working. Got it home, ready to fix, the fuse is blown. Put in another 10 fuse. Pops. Well, just for the hell of it, tried 15...
