    High revs upon start-up

    Every time I start the engine, it fires up and revs. real high as if I had stabbed the throttle. Problem with this is that I can hear that bearings are starved for oil and they make that clatter. Anybody have thoughts on this? is it normal? So I've been just starting and immediately...

    TR-3650 ACTUAL FILL LEVEL?

    Did anyone try actual light weight gear oil in their transmission? Yeah I know that's not what Ford or Tremek says, but wouldn't it be worth a shot? I ran gear oil in all my manual transmissions in other cars without any trouble. Just curious....:shrug:

    Crown Vic Rotors on '03 GT?

    I gave up searching for this if it even exists.... Does anyone know if the C.V. front rotors will fit the GT hub? I know I'd have to do something for the caliper, but I need to know if this is feasable at all, or even if someone has attempted it? Thanks, P

    Originally I thought it was a clutch thing... no such luck. I went through the TSB B.S. too but little change! It's a crappy tranny. Fifth gear is really tall as well, especially for California with all the hills, etc. If only I could get my hands on a '01-'02 with the lower ratio fifth, I might...

    Transmission ratios?

    I talked to a tech guy at Tremec and he seemed to think that the "2001" GT's had the 3650 and a higher 5th ratio of .67. He also said that they don't directly support these "ford" trannys but that I should get parts from directly...:shrug:

    burning smell from a/c vents?

    I noticed that the burnt rubber smell is eminating from the right side of the car. It then gets sucked in when I use my heater or AC. But it's been this way for months and I can't find the cause... I also figured that if something is touching the exhaust, it would eventually burn off completely...

    Got hit today

    Something quite similar happened to me in my '96. However, my seat back completely collapsed and the only thing that saved me from hitting my head in the REAR :bang: window is that my left arm got tangled in the shoulder belt... Had a headache that just wouldn't quit too... I hate the stock...
