Why are used 03/04 cobras so expensive?

Okay, lets see what I can find..... Center of Durham Zip code should be 27707 and with that I can create a 100 Mi. radius collection through Autotrader..... Hmm, Crystal White '03 SVT for $26,500 with 18K on the Odo. Minimal mods...

    03 supercharger to a 97cobra

Yeah, you're better off with a built crate motor minus the blower then bolt on a K.B. 2.2

differences between 96-98 and 99-02 cobra

I ran my stock '97 Vs. an 04 GT modded with cat-back, CAI + MAF, pulley's and ECU tune. He had me by a couple of cars until 3rd gear when I started creeping back up on him. We both maxed out at the top of 4th gear and I just held it steady with him. Of course the second I edged past him...

    Tranny Dead?

Most likely one of five things: 1) The linkage has been seperated from the transmission. Even though your shifting the gear selector, it's not going into gear as far as the transmission goes. 2) Your clutch packs are toast. It could have been an abused car or trated badly with neutral drops...

    interesting air induction idea????

The idea of removing the bogus vent deletes on both outside fenders just next to the headlights on my 70, laying some metal screen over the holes to keep bugs out and running a fresh air line to the air filter has been tempting for me in the past. Only problem is that I don't like the idea of...

    Anyone heard of Evapo-rust?

Man, you were stuck out here at one time? You already know how slow things can get up in Misawa. Both pic's are in the dorm parking lot of 539. It's Popeye's in the background behind the car for the first shot. I do have some sad news though. The old Forevers was torn down along with My...

    Anyone heard of Evapo-rust?

I'd sure love to, but it'll take 2 1/2 weeks for it to get here. I'm stuck stationed in the northernmost portion on the mainland of Japan for now. :( I'm going home on leave in a couple of months for christmas and figured I could try to do some work on the car since it's been in storage...

    Anyone heard of Evapo-rust?

Well, by the look of it, the stuff doesn't eat away at anything. It just seperates rust from bare metal. I'm not sure how it does it using molecules pulling the rust away, but having stuff that stops working after a certain amount of time yet safe to handle and even drip on yourself compared...

    Anyone heard of Evapo-rust?

Wow, it's been a long time since I've last posted... Anyway, I have the LH floorpan in bad shape (severe corrosion) and knew that re-welding a new pan would eventually be in the future. Right now, it's solid enough with several hours of grinding and neutralizing what was left then...

    Sub $3000 Paxton kit questions

I was digging around in the 'ol online parts catalogs and found this. I have wanted to boost my '97 Cobra for a while and this seems rather tempting for the low cost as a brand new kit. I've read the attached links and seen that it's a NOVI 1000 turbine instead of 2000, but I think I've read...

How many miles do you have on your cobra?

75,000 flat on my '97. Im considering a NOVI 2000 on the stock internals @ 8 PSI, but not sure if it can handle it. I should just replace the rods + piston heads w/ forged bits. I haven't even drove it in the last 18 months anyway..... :(

    C&D tests an '05 Mustang V6

Maybe not your everyday V6, but there are blowers, cams and serious exhaust systems to make those little motors push out 275+ horses now. Going to such levels however could require a forged internals... I know someone out there crazy enough has tried this. It'd be a blast to see. :hail2:

A new smog standard in California for classics?

Ok, good to hear the cutoff wasn't as far back as I had heard rumors say they were. I caught bits and pieces of it possibly going as far back as 66, but I couldn't get the bare facts. I appreciate the heads up. 6Stang7- Home is located on the bottom half of the island. Past park street...

A new smog standard in California for classics?

Wow it's been a while since I've last posted..... Anyway, Im in Japan (Air Force has me tied up) and my old 70 Grande is in storage. I know this isn't really technical oriented, but can anyone fill me in on what I've heard Arnold has done to put some form of smog test on cars 30 years and...

    Performer vs Performer RPM?????????

Been a long time since I've posted Hearne. I used to dispute with you a few times a while back if you remember.... To be slightly off topic for a moment in time, Im just throwing in a blank post so my account isn't tossed because of the lack of internet being out in northern Japan. It'll...
