    Can you pull the steering colume out of the steering box?

    Yeah I think they didn't started putting to pieces in mustangs until late 67, early 68...if I remember correctly. While it's out I would replace it with a two piece to get that spear from out in front of you....I need to do the same thing on my 65.

    I would just put down some epoxy.......I did my garage with the kits from home depot for 70 bucks a kit. Two car garage needs to kits so I was out about 150 and i am very pleased.

    68 Fairlane 500

    My father might be parting out his 68 Fairlane with a 302 and I was wondering what all I could use off it for my 65. I know it has ppower disc brakes in the front, are those a easy swap with my manual drums? What about the power steering setup?

    is there a inexpensive way to add the safety of a collapsible steering column to my 65. Most of the aftermarket items ive seen are all tilt but dont talk about it being collapsible in a collision.

    I did a search to figure out how the front cable connects to the equalizer rod and where the spring hooks on a 65 mustang and I cant find anything....Looked in my haynes man.(piece of crap)nothing, looked at the exploded view and it looks like the cable is just looped onto the rod and it doesnt...

    there is a december issue of a mustang & Fords mag that as a feature on a 69 fastback that is all blacked out. Personally I like it, but it has to be done right(the car overall) and has to have that agressive restomod look. I think the car was called "Blackened"

    Well i finally got my car back from the body shop, although it will be going back soon. When They were putting the car back together they said they couldn't intall the parking lights because they didn't fit.:shrug: I tried to fit them and they fit but there is no way of holding them in place...
