    I have one also,but did'nt run into any of those thing's your talking about . I think it work's well for what it is,but mine will be coming off this summer for the s/c to go in it's place. Also take some metal polish and rub the hell out of the shield , it make's it look alot better IMO.

    if you take it to a good shop they will bake it for about an hour or so which will get out the chemicals from the glass. No need to run it on your car if they know what they are doing and prep it properly.
