    dash light question

    I didn’t even take the dash out or play with the wires. It all started when I hooked up a newer am/fm cassette player. When I unhook the radio, the lights go off and when it’s connected the lights stay on.

    My dash lights haven’t been working in a long time so I finally got around to fixing the problem. They are working now but are always on when the ignition is on, even with the headlights off. Are they supposed to come on with the headlights or always stay on? Thanks

    Yeah, my dash lights are also out (67 too). it sucks turning on the dome light to see how fast your going.

    I am not positive but I have looked for classic insurance and either I'm not old enough or don’t have enough driving experience and by looking at your profile, I'm older. But if there is someone who would insure a 19 year old let me know!!!

    Have gas prices affected your driving?

    I havent driven mine as much because of the bad weather and kind of the price of gas. My 4 banger toyota pickup is my daily driver and its gas milage is probably close to my mustang.

    Where to find vintage plates???

    We can run the old plates here in NY as long as we have the right sticker. I found my plates at a swap meet. I looked on ebay for a while but couldnt pass up these with the 289. I cant use them because I need classic insurance which I cant get yet.

    How much ground clearence do you have?

    I was thinking about lowering my car but I think my ground clearence would be very small. I measured from my headers to the ground and I think it was around 5 inches. What is too low for the street?

    Exhaust question

    I have a Dr. Gas X-pipe too. I really like the sound of it. I cant compare it to not having a crossover pipe or a H pipe because my car had single exhaust before.

    I was watching this show tonight and next weeks show is with a 67 Mustang. For those who dont know what this show is, they take a p.o.s. car into West Coast Customs and make nice. This stang is pretty beat. I hope they dont ruin it. Also, its a girl who owns it.
