    Subframe Connectors

Just to be clear, Mustangmania is a company in Katy, Texas where I took the pics. "ultrastang" is my friend Steve Ainsworth in Arkansas with his Ultrastang Performance who made the comment about the subframe connectors I´ve made.

    69/70 Mustang Taurus Rack Installation?

What you are showing is the first fully functional prototype I made a couple of years ago. It has been tested and used on a ´69 Mach1 here in Sweden for a while, but we are now replacing it for a design based on a center take off rack & pinion. There´s a couple of reasons why I wouldn´t...

Whom does this car belong too?

From what I can find the car belongs to Arnt Halås from Farstad in Norway. The pics below are from the Norwegian website, http://www.moldestuket.com/

TCP power R&P now only 2500

There is room enough, neither of the r&p installs I have done have had any problems with an increased turning radius.

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

What I meant with the "worlwide patent database" is that all patents in the world can be found in one database. There is no such thing as a single worlwide patent, every patent is more or less country specific and also usually have different time limitations, that´s why my questions.

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

Yes, I know it says so on their website, but what´s the number of their patent? Their company name is not in the worldwide patent database. Does their patent cover Sweden too?

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

Hard to say as I´ve never seen any of the American kits IRL. I have seen a GM J-car r&p though in MustangSteve´s garage in Carrollton, Texas when I was there last summer, but that´s about it. Here´s some additional info about my prototype design that might make it different: The brackets...

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

Thanks bnickel! Yes, it does look a lot like the GM J-car r&p, the one I used was made by ZF, German company that makes a lot of r&ps and other thingies with gears, even transmissions for Formula One. Makes we wanna think it´s high quality. Another good thing at least for me here in Sweden...

Out of all the rack kits, does anyone make one right?

It was a modified power r&p from a Mazda 929 that I used on a ´69 Mach1 and a modified manual SAAB r&p that I used on a ´65 convertible. Both were made with a custom centerlink that made it possible to re-use the original tie rods and to minimize bumpsteer. Unfortunately I came to the conclusion...

Updates on Rack & Pinion kits???

Please note that I am showing prototypes! It´s a 351W (=tight) in the ´65 convertible I put the manual prototype on. As I did the install in cooperation with a commercial shop I was also working under time pressure and it was easier/less time consuming to modify the header. I used a modified...

Updates on Rack & Pinion kits???

Here´s the latest news from Sweden about the two prototypes I´ve developed: http://www.vikingmustang.com/News_02.asp http://www.vikingmustang.com/65R&P.asp I´ve started production of the powerassisted unit for the northern Europe market. US will hopefully follow if everything works out.

Ok, so the rack&pinions suck... What are we gonna do about it?

Hi Frode, Yes I have received your email, thanks! Just been busy, I´ll answer it tonight when I have more time. "Small scale" in this case basically means that I won´t make say a hundred units that I will have in stock, we are talking about something like ten units to begin with. No...

Ok, so the rack&pinions suck... What are we gonna do about it?

The powerassisted version of my r&p have now been tested and I´ve made a webpage with some news and pics about it: http://www.vikingmustang.com/news_02.asp Thanks to these test results I will start a small scale production for to begin with the northern Europe market this fall. I still have...

Help, need to find more stuff for EFI swap.

Where you have written "What is this for?" you can see the connection/fitting for the return line from the engine. The rest of your assumptions are correct as far as I know. Hopefully Glen will jump in and correct me if I am wrong. Both my fuel pumps are connected to the same curcuit, that...

    J-car rack and pinion

Thanks, but the design is on my opinion very far from Randall´s as mine is based on side take off units. I just dont know right now, we´ll see later on when it´s tested.

Pics from Pony Car Meet, Stockholm, Sweden

It´s a rather small meet, we had around 40 Trans Ams, 50 Camaros and 100 Mustangs there this year. The largest meet in Sweden is called "Power Big Meet" and usually have around 10.000 cars, but that´s of all kinds, hot rods, customs, classics, muscle cars and so on. Here´s some scans from the...
