    Classic Design Concepts News

I really hope you aren't insinuating that the RF components are US made. It does look good, but the price is quite exorbitant. Are you manufacturing the enclosure, or is it coming from Rockford's AIResearch (Q-Logic) division? Also, which driver is it using (assuming P1 unless otherwise...

    Wheel Offset Question

Odd, mine are 8.5's, and they have a measured +43mm. I think it looks like it's tip-toeing, even from the factory. Maybe a lot of the confusion is stemming from what people perceive? Someone who thinks their wheels stick out too far may think my tip-toes are perfect? Each to his own, as long...

    Wheel Offset Question

Yep, but I just don't want a blanket statement. 40-45mm offset on an 8" wheel will look like the car is tip-toeing or set up to go on railroad tracks. Apex, you're good to go. Post pics when you're done.

Sub box material, does it matter?

Anything acoustically dead will work. Metal tends to "ring" at certain frequencies, but can certainly be used if it is thick enough and deadened. It'll be heavier at that point than adequate wood, though. I prefer to use ultralight MDF or Baltic Birch plywood depending on the size of the...

    Wheel Offset Question

Again, it is based on the TOTAL WIDTH OF THE WHEEL! A 9.5" wheel with 38mm offset will be about 1/4" further in from the fender then a 10" with a 45mm offset. FWIW, a 10.5" with a 41-43mm offset is almost perfect to me. I also like the looks of 10" front (+45) and 11" rear (+57).

    Wheel Offset Question

The 35/45mm is measured from the center of the wheel. Meaning, the offset will change based on the overall width of the wheel. I would go with the second listing. The rears will be brought out more flush with the fenders- slightly wider in stance than the fronts. On the first, the front/rear...

Static in Shaker 500 (2007 GT)

Nope. The doors and rears are powered by the head unit. The amps in the kickpanel juice the door woofers, and the rear subs are driven by the 4 amps mounted there (if you have the 1000).

Konig Beyonds on my 07 GT

You can go up to 285 on the front. 305 rear. The aspect ratio will determine your height. I would go 295/30 rear and 265/35 front.

For those that have removed the spare tire..

You could get the pump/goo kit that comes with the Shelby 500 and it straps into the spare-tire well properly.

    Make me a setup please!

Are you starting with the standard radio, or the Shaker 500? That makes quite the difference. Either way, I'd suggest a head unit as the first upgrade.

    What do you think? PIC!

Basslink. They're probably the best powered sub box on teh market. Quite good.

Looking for a small amp with a bass control remote

Be warned, Kicker amps have a HUGE footprint. Make sure it will fit. If you need something physically smaller, look into Memphis, Blaupunkt (actually very nice and cheap), the new Punch series, AltoMobile(if you can find any), Alpine PDX, new Pioneers, Eclipse ICE series, Lanzar Opti (still...

Is Dynamat necessary? - 05 Gt.

I have 300# of mat-based deadener in my car, and 3 gallons of liquid. I could easily double that and still not be 100% satisfied. I think the offroad Prochamber is a good portion of it :D

    Got my wheels

I have to deal with the driveay, also. You could get the Roush rears. They sell them separately. Then you've leveled out without dragging the front on your driveway.

    For all 94-04 Owners

No way I could ship it, it weighs 80+ pounds. The box was made specifically for the 94-04 Mustang. Designed by myself and Phil Salisbury of Woodlawn Cabinetry. There were some pics of it installed but they've disappeared. The angles toward the outside fit over the rear shocks. Now does it...

    For all 94-04 Owners

I had a pair of 10's in mine. Port tuned to 33hz and I still had access to the spare. http://www.woodlawncabinetry.com/Elemental_Design_Custom_Boxes.html It's on that page. If you're local to me and come pick it up, you can have it. It's too damned nice to throw away.

    Aftermarket subwoofer on Shaker 500

Sort of. The pre-amp level connection is there, it just doesn't have RCA jacks on it.
