96 GT. Changing all the o rings in my oil cooler and noticed just a couple small black plastic pieces in there. Also after I drained my coolant from the radiator and I was dumping it into a container it had some more pieces in there too. Anyone know where they likely came from? It has me stumped.

Hey guys, just bought an automatic 96 GT. The leather shift knob is in bad shape. Found a new stock one from ford, but it doesn't include the spring or button on the side. Anyone know if it is possible to easily remove those parts from the stock piece and put them on the new one??

Just got a new billet distributor, the factory one's shaft is starting to squeal. Not bad for 19 years!!!! Need to know what's the best thing to put on the distributor gear before I drop it in??? Regular oil, break-in oil, or some kind of cam lube??

Just got a whole bunch of front polyurethane bushings. I was wondering which ones need to be lubed. Only the sway bar mount bushings came with grease. What about the steering rack bushings and sway bar endlinks, should those need any grease?? If so, what's the best stuff to get at the parts store?

Just snapped off the middle lower valve cover bolt when torquing them in. Anyone think it might be ok and not leak??? Going to be a few days before I start it up anyway, so I can't find out right now. I'm so pissed!!

Was torquing my valve cover bolts at 10 ft lbs and one just snapped!!! It was the lower middle bolt on the driver side. You think it will still be ok and not leak??? Damn, I'm so pissed!!!!!!!!! :mad:

It's got a small rip in it by the bolt hole. Can I use permatex gasket sealer on it, or something similar?? The other gasket is perfect and would hate to have to order another set, money is tight and the part stores don't have the reusable ones. Any help would be very appreciated!!

I hate nasty rusted parts, esp in the engine bay. Anyone know if I can paint the outside of the EGR valve??? I see the holes in the top of it, not sure if those are breather holes or not. If anybody knows, or has done it, let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!!
