trying to find a bellhousing is like a quest for the Holy Grail ...

I've called every shop I can get hold of, nobody has the Ford racing bellhousing for the T5. Even the Mcleod unit is hard to find these days. It's so frustrating, the only thing I still need after months of hard work is a bellhousing, and I'll be able to test the new engine ... The Lakewood...

what kinda V8 is in there ?

I just bought a indy red 90 GT, with a lot of rust, to swap tranny and V8 into my 79 2.3t. :D The GT runs and drives really great ! :flag: But it's a carbed engine ? I wasn't really worried about it, I just thought the swap would be a lot easyer if it's a carbed motor. But...

    getting a new carb

The Holley 500cfm from racerwalsh seems like a good one, but will it fit on my intake ? Curently I have a '79 carbed turbo with the stock (I guess) holley 5200. But it's running like crap now. The choke doens't work anymore, some parts are damaged ... I think it might be some improvement...
