This is and isnt entirely true. Backspacing is measured from flange the hub sits sits on to back side of wheel. A 8" advertised wide wheel isnt really 8" wide, its 9" from lip to lip. So an 8" advertised rim with 0 offset would have 4.5" backspacing.

Any clue to what brand or model those rims are? Those are bad ass looking.

The non HOs use the old 302 firing order, the HO uses the 351W firing order, so if your converting to MAF with a HO computer then your injector firing order is going to be off.

Flat tappet is a non roller cam, hydraulic is the lifters operation, hydraulic or solid, you can have a Flat tappet cam in both hydraulic and solid, same with a roller cam.

Are you going by what that stupid little dash computer says the Average MPG is? Thats not how you calculate MPG. I doubt your lincoln gets near 30 mpg.
