The Next Warhorse: 1993 Mustang LX Autocross Build

Yeah I don't need to worry about MAF with my '89 so it was a lot more simple. But I am absolutely convinced that a better performing and lighter intake can be put in place.

The Next Warhorse: 1993 Mustang LX Autocross Build

This is what my engine bay looked like before my most recent cleaning up: The EGR I just bent over out of the way in the pic as you can see, but it is now gone, along with the related vacuum hoses... it turns out that is the primary congestion on the passenger side. As you can see I also...

The Next Warhorse: 1993 Mustang LX Autocross Build

Haha, I will keep my cruise as well, but I appreciate the dedication. I recently pulled the defunct EGR system and all the vacuum tubes... It runs fine and it's been capped off of the manifold for months but I finally went and traced everything and removed it all from the engine bay...

My Stupid Rearview Mirror (with solution)

Nine days in, it's still holding fast. :) We've seen temperatures between 35 and 80 degrees in that time. lol

My Stupid Rearview Mirror (with solution)

That's not a bad idea either, the thought hadn't occurred to me to get professional help. I used permatex last time and had had luck with that many moons ago on another car. This will give me the ability to restick it in 5 minutes now... I kinda lost faith in the adhesive.

My Stupid Rearview Mirror (with solution)

Yeah that’s ok, I only do this for me. :) And if anyone wants to be cool like me that’s how you do it. :p

My Stupid Rearview Mirror (with solution)

So a moment of backstory here before I tell of my momentary glimpse of genius... when I bought my '89 vert, the mirror had fallen off at some point for the previous owner and as is the habit of some owners in these pony cars, Firebird and Camaro owners being no exception, when that thing falls...

    Suspension SetUp

Thanks, no it's a mid-grade three piece set I bought from summit, and upgraded with LEDs because these cars need all the help they can get after the sun goes down. The paint has a bit of wear and tear, but pretty much clean underneath which is a bit of an accomplishment after 20 years in NY...

    Suspension SetUp

I have given up on using forum hosting after being on a dozen different sites... I just throw stuff into an Imgur account and post the provided "BB Code" links. Like so:

    Suspension SetUp

Rack is still stock, I put some 8mm spacers behind the front wheels for a while which cleared up the rubbing, but I did not like that solution and for now I am just avoiding full lock turns until I upgrade wheels or more likely just buy some limiters to stuff in there. It is just a problem with...

    Suspension SetUp

FWIW I threw on the Eibach 36mm Front /25mm Rear swaybars on my mostly stock 4-banger and I really like how it feels in the corners. It feels pretty balanced... much better than stock with the 15/16 front and no rear bar. I've always liked the feel of fairly docile springs and big swaybars, but...

    air inlet,2.3 l

Depending on what year you can do pretty much anything you want as long as you don't get rid of any sensors. I took all of that stuff out and this is all I've got: Doesn't seem to suffer from any power loss when warmed up.

After 20+ years sitting outside, restoration has started with fuel

Heh my car sat with 1/8 tank outside, under the eve of a barn (that is, with rain pouring off of it onto the middle of the car) for 3 years before I bought it and the tank inside was spotless when I got to it. This tank looks like it's been to hell and back. Dang!

Fox 32 Valve Heads For Sbf

Might as well just go pull a 4.6 out of a Lincoln MK VIII, if 4 camshafts is your main goal.

Questions on convertible rear panels removal, convertible hydraulic component replacement and convertible top replacement

What's the gist of the video? My vert leaks, one single drip at a time, onto the driver's side seat... I just put a towel there when it rains and it keeps the seat dry. I've been wondering if it needs adjustment somewhere or if it's just bad weatherstripping.

How much power can a 94 GT make if you don't change the look of the engine?

To be fair he called you an askhole not an Ahole. Askholes ask for advice and when confronted with reality they refuse to take it and just do what they were gonna do all along.

Questions on convertible rear panels removal, convertible hydraulic component replacement and convertible top replacement

Assuming you're looking at the set with the pads and both top pieces... Probably not a bad deal. I reused my pads but they were in so-so shape, and I was on a very tight budget and I chose to covert over to a one piece top to save additional money. Pads only take a few more minutes to replace...
