Hi, i have some 3 way pioneer 6 by 9s sitting around at my house and one of my rear speakers just gave up. I was wondering if anyone had modified that cover in the rear to allow for the installation of a 6 by 9 speaker, or if its too much trouble and i'd be better off just getting a nice set of...

my speaker connector from my head unit is long and rectangular, both the ones on the amp are pretty square and smaller in shape. the connector that plugged into the stock head unit connects right up to the one from my head unit, its just that its not wired the same.

does anyone know the metra part number for the amp bypass? id like to know it, because i had to return two wiring harnesses to best buy before because they f'd up.

ill go out and make sure that my SHO bypass wont work real quick, otherwise ill have to pick one up tomorrow. EDIT: so the bypass for the amp isnt the same, so that isnt oging to happen tonight. I have yet to see how it would make any differnce however, there is no reason it should work...

nope, its still plugged in. i was thinking about doing that, but i dont think the amp bypass i used for my SHO will work in this.

yeah it would make sense to have at least 8 wires on that, and if it did my connector would work no problum. i really dont understand why it would only have 5. my SHO had 8 i know.

ok, so i have my head unit that used to me in my 93 SHO and im attempting to put it into a 90 6 speaker convertible stang. I had to change the power connector, (my kit came with two, i used the other one for the SHO) and plugged it in and it powered up just fine, i mean everything on the radio...

the problum is it isnt all origional. And yes it is from the dearborn plant.

ive run tinto a problum. while going to look up some of our project 66's history, i went to look in the door to find the data plate, and it isnt there. Is there anywhere else it was put on there? The VIN is #6F08A277287, and i got all the info i could out of that.
