    Shock Tower Allignment

If your export brace is set correctly, before you panic - I'd take it to a local vendor (Since your in Easton - try Glazier's Mustang Barn) and compare it to one they have in stock. There is a chance that it's a poor quality reproduction part that is mis-made. Try the simplest answer first...

BOSS 302 - How could you let it get like this?

There actually was a difference... the Boss fenders were radiused to clear the larger wheel/tire combo. (Nuthin you couldnt do with a baseball bat between the fender and the tire - but it does have a different part number). Good grief though... I don't think I have ever seen so much rot on...

    69 Big block exhaust leak

Unfortunately...Jacking the engine up isn't a drastic measure... it's the only way to get to all the bolts. DHearn is right... try it with a set of Hooker Super comps using the over under bolt pattern!

Fuel System Question??? Thought I was out of gas

One more culprit could be the fuel pump. My car would idle - run around town ok, but when I was on it at an 'exuberant' speed or under hard accelleration it would just die. It would restart and drive fine. I replaced the pump and the symptoms went away. I know you said it is of newer...

    m, r, s code ??

Thanks... Now I remember - your reply finally percolated those codes to the top... And in all honesty I've never known what the full size codes were - thanks again :D

    m, r, s code ??

    Wasn't "Q" used for the '71 429 CJ and SCJ? ARrgh! I'll stick to '69: F, G, H, L, M, Q, R, S, T, and X Whheeee! :D (sorry, bad day at work)

    m, r, s code ??

Lets really confuse the poor guy... in 1971 R code stood for Boss 351; in '72 it was the HO 351 (an 8.8 compression ratio Boss 351), In 69 and 70 "G" was a Boss 302 :D :D :D

    STRIPE COLOR MACH 1??

How good was the "new" paint job? Sometimes- if the work was quick you can find the remains of the original tape stripe wrapped inside the leading edge of the door and front fender. My car was Indian Fire Red and it had Black/Gold stripes (at least the bit inside the door edge was :D ).

Nahh, fastest VINTAGE mustang ever produced literally flew.... it's known as a P-51H (or was it J?) :rlaugh:

    Big Block mustang owners????

Man, I love to find a good 427 block... Headers - Hooker Super Comps - the mustang ones come with BOTH exhaust bolt patterns so you can use either "Mustang" heads or the over/under bolts (although if you use that - bolt the headers on FIRST before dropping it in... 'cause you aren't going to...

    Fastest vintage stang?

One simple word... TRACTION- The 351Boss is an extremely strong runner - but like all 4v clevelands it is known for a bit of a soggy bottom end- it really pulls hard at top end. You can ride it a bit harder out of the hole than a 429scj on stock tires. Dump the clutch on a 429 at more than...

    Big Block mustang owners????

Darn it! there you go giving away Big Block secrets! (On my 390 with aluminum valve covers, I went with neoprene gaskets and studs- pull the cover, slide the exentsion down and done - probably only ads 10 15 minutes to a plug change) Brennan - what # are U looking for... casting or what?

    Big Block mustang owners????

I've got a '69 Mach with a 390 4spd combo that I'm working on... I've owned the damn thing since 1985 fixed it, raced it, replaced the engine several times, and now I'm looking at bringing it back to - well, NEAR stock.

    Girlfriend wants new car

I would have personally chosen the '05 Stang... but I gotta admit that is some fairly pricey company - so I voted for the Bimmer - You really don't need the awd of the Jag (although like most Jags the interior is great) and the Kompressor cars are fairly common now.- Oh hell, I don't know... If...

    Shelby scoops on 70 fastback

If you are truely looking for an opinion... I don't think it would look right on a '70 sportsroof... I like the smooth flanks of the '70 models (and '69 Boss 302s)...and it would be a shame to ruin good 70 qtr panels. FWIW I have a 69 and I like the stock scoops better than the Shelby.

    Big Block vs. Small Block

Yeah, I agree that they should have done *some* sort of name change with the Fe vs 385 vs Cleveland... Heck, that's why we like Fords vs the "other" brands... It's like a model... Fords are the complicated ones with a million pieces and Brand x's are the snap together kits. :p

    Big Block vs. Small Block

Hey now... a big block car will turn.... just give it more gas when it starts to plow... I GUARANTEE that it will rotate though the corner :rlaugh: Just having fun... The big block vs small block thing is almost as much fun as Ford vs Brand X :nice:
