Input Requested: '13 Boss 302 Ls Or Gt500 Vert?

First I need to point out that the GT500 vert is speed limited to 155 mph. I'm sure it's easy to bypass with a tune, but I wouldn't want to go that fast in a vert anyways. Personally, I would go for the Boss, but I like to open track my cars. For a DD and no racing(or drag racing only) I...

Engine Engine Wont Turn More Than 1/4 Of The Way By Hand

Could be wrong, but I think my crank was hitting one of the lobes on the cam when I tried to roll it over with no chain. Installed the timing chain and everything was back to normal.

Engine Engine Wont Turn More Than 1/4 Of The Way By Hand

Is the timing chain installed? I had a similar problem when I built mine when I tried to turn it over with the cam installed but no timing chain. You might also try pulling the spark plugs if you haven't already. It makes turning the crank much easier.

    A post a day......

What do you guys think of the gold wheels? Plasti-dipped them last week.

    A post a day......

I like that. Also found this one that looks really good. http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/teh-gold-fr500-thread-finally.854157/ I've pretty much decided on the Forgestar F14 wheels, I'm just trying to figure out what color to get. Don't really care for black, so I'm looking at...

I tinted my fog lights yellow. Also thinking about going with bronze or gold wheels... What do you guys think? These wheels, http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/automotive-parts-accessories-sale-wanted/272684-fs-forgestar-f14-race-gold-w-tires-997-wb.html

    A post a day......

Not sure on the materials, it's a bunch of scrap that I got free. Picked the seat up for $35 and that's all I have in it other than a few nuts/bolts. It's pretty sturdy other than the wheel mount. I copied this design...

    A post a day......

That's an awesome setup. I built my own and it didn't turn out that great. I'm thinking about redesigning the wheel mount to something more like what's on yours. It's not real sturdy as it is right now.

Anyone Paid To Have Their Bay Shaved?

I paid to have mine painted but did the rest myself. Easily had close to 100 hours in it, but total cost was under $150. I could have painted it myself, but it would have actually cost me more in materials than what my buddy charged me to paint it. I used the leftover paint from the engine bay...

Drivetrain Aode To T5 --- What Goes In This Hole?

That's an odd place for a fluid level sensor. Considering it's right on the shift forks my guess would be some sort of gear indicator.

Brakes First Test Drive Did Not Go So Well, Having Some Issues.

Air in the brake lines would give you a soft pedal, a problem with the brake booster with give you a stiff pedal due to no power assist.

Brakes Went To Bleed The Brakes Now I Have Leaking Fluid

One of my rear calipers locked up and I replaced it with one from auto zone. I don't remember using anything from the old caliper. You still might want to leave the old one installed to minimize brake fluid loss. My cousin left his front brakes off overnight and ended up with air in the master...

320 miles on a full tank

I got a new best in my car last week. Cruising 70-75 with the a/c on managed 28.9 mpg. The drive home had some city driving mixed in and I only managed a little over 27 mpg, but I let that tank go to 336 miles and it showed another 40 miles left to E. I'd say 400 miles is possible driving 100%...

    A post a day......

I got my rc helicopter stuck in a tree one time and we used a .22 to trim the branches around it. Took a while but we managed to save it.

Putnam Park Road Course May 19th

No brembos because I couldn't find any cars that I liked with them. After I get new rims that will clear the brembos I will be installing them. For now I'm going to go with some Motul 600 brake fluid and brake ducts. Maybe some Hawk pads. I'm making my own brake duct kit and had everything...

Putnam Park Road Course May 19th

I took my new car to the track over the weekend. I'm impressed with how it did for a stock Mustang. The handling was very balanced, slightly more understeer but you could get the car sideways pretty easily. I think I boiled the brake fluid after about 3 laps and the brakes were never quite the...

I Got A Word Squirter Today

That's awesome. I assume your car goes plaid every time you flip that switch? I almost want nitrous now just so I can have a ludicrous speed button. :)

Drivetrain 95 Gt With Transmission Issues

I bought the T5 rebuild video from badshoeproductions. It made the rebuild process very easy. It's really pretty simple anyways, but it's nice being able to see what you need to do in the video. Just make sure you get the end play right on the main shaft, otherwise you'll be rebuilding it...

    Install front spoiler.... better MPGs?

The less air going under the car the better. If you lower it some you might see another mpg gain. I'm guessing you do a lot of highway driving? I just installed the Boss front valence and splitter on my car. It's not really a good test since my driving route is all over the place, but I did...

    Happy 10th Year.

Looks like I'm coming up on 10 years too. The amount of money you guys made me spend on my car would almost pay off what I owe on my new car lol. I could probably rebuild the entire car in my sleep now though. Learned soooo much from here :SN:
